How's everyone's week been? there have been ups here (night in tent great sucess) and downs (didn't even get interview for job I thought I was perfect for... ... oh well).

Today bought water pistols for ds and grampy, very very funny to watch small boy and OAP chasing eachother round the garden, not sure who had most fun.

Last tutorial session tomorrow, and marking last essays, so quieter times are coming (ha ha!)

I have a bottle of homemade elderflower 'champagne' to open, so u are all invited to a glass...

Smug - yup. Although think DH is more over excited ATM.

Oh yes, we planned to arrive just after lunch but set off instead in the middle of rush hour.

No idea if we even have everything we need. I KNOW we don't have any waterproofs, but I hop we have enough pegs. still, the time we arrive we could borrow a peg from each tent on the campsite until morning

Indigo - that's brilliant. I love the phonics way of spelling. DS2 wrote me a mothers day card with 'dire mum' on it. It's a classic that i will keep forever.

I'm quite good in a crisis so I survived the day. I just ended up being a fairly crap mother to my kids as a result of helping my mum. But hopefully one day of effort will help her immensely and I won't need to do quite so much in future, for now anyway. I'm used to her being ill, I've just never felt like I could do anything about it.

bollocks, hold both hands out in front and together as if cupping said bollocks and move hands up and down slightly and alternately as if weighing them. Although if particularly heavy bollocks, both hands in front as previously but drop both hands together as if holding heavy weight. Hope that helps

What does a diamond sign mean in sign language?

if you do the 'scales' version with your hands much further apart you would be signing old bailey, a friend made this mistake to her peril

Happy and diamond in signalong and makaton have the same meaning. They have different meanings in BSL.

The diamond sign means vagina, and the happy sign means sexual intercourse.

Twinkle twinkle little star is disturbing, as is if your happy and you know is clap your hands with full signing.
