How's everyone's week been? there have been ups here (night in tent great sucess) and downs (didn't even get interview for job I thought I was perfect for... Sad... oh well).

Today bought water pistols for ds and grampy, very very funny to watch small boy and OAP chasing eachother round the garden, not sure who had most fun.

Last tutorial session tomorrow, and marking last essays, so quieter times are coming (ha ha!)

I have a bottle of homemade elderflower 'champagne' to open, so u are all invited to a glass...

The Twunty Bollocks motto is

Troll, troll in the dungeons. I just thought you ought to know!

alowVeraWithPurpleTwuntyPants · 05/08/2011 20:23

A Labrador. I got my dates wrong and thought I had to wait another week. Blush

alowVeraWithPurpleTwuntyPants · 05/08/2011 20:30

Hmm hmm, did the same thing with dd2 if I remember.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 05/08/2011 20:33

alow, Grin

sign, thought you might like to know, dd3 and her transition book are officially driving me nuts!

iknowhowtosigntwuntybollocks · 05/08/2011 20:34

how many times have u had to read today?

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/08/2011 20:34

Lovely Labrador. Getting your dates wrong usually means the patter of 2 tiny feet!

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/08/2011 20:40

I am indeed about to fail camping. Ds and Dh just shared soggy mars bar. Got another hour on the road.......

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/08/2011 20:42

Hoping there will be a chips van on the campsite. Ds having a melt down because he wants to go back on the Darrford Bridge.

alowVeraWithPurpleTwuntyPants · 05/08/2011 20:43

(4 if it's twins, or a puppy)

What's a transition book?

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 05/08/2011 20:43

sign, enough to know what's on the next page before it's turned

STAR...My thoughts are with you....hope there's a chip van !

IndigoBell · 05/08/2011 20:50

I have some brilliant news. I just got a postcard from DD, who is at cub camp - and I can read all of it!

Apparently she is having a wicid time Grin

3 months ago I wouldn't have been able to read any of it. I'm so overcome. She is such a super star.

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/08/2011 20:52

Oh fab Indigo!

iknowhowtosigntwuntybollocks · 05/08/2011 20:53

indigo thats brill! Grin

Ineedalife · 05/08/2011 20:54

Starlight...Park the car facing your pitch with the head lights on if you are fairly quick you won't flatten the battery.

Is there a chippy in between where you are stuck and the campsite? Maybe you could grab something to eat and finish your journey at the same time.

Good luck Hope your camping goes wellSmile.

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/08/2011 20:55

Ah it's okay. My life is always like this. Such disorganised parents. Somehow ds has failed too strict a rigidity or routine because quite frankly Dh and I are just not capable.

Ineedalife · 05/08/2011 20:56

great news from smallindigo, both about the wicid camping and the writingGrin.

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/08/2011 20:58

It's okay. 2 yr old is asleep and ds is eating haribo, but absolutely will try the headlight thing if no-one complains.

I'm fairly sure there Is a chip van onsite as SE were there last year, and it will keep the kiddies entertained and out of Dh and my way when we argue about the tent.

smugtandemfeeder · 05/08/2011 21:01

Star you camping trip sounds like ours. All last minute packing and things not quite going to plan. Great fun though. good luck Grin

Sounds like I missed some funny threads today then. I've put my purple pjs on in honour.

Spent the day trying to cope with DS and DD screaming, all whilst trying to get my mum sectioned. Hard work. Anyway, she now has a special team coming to her home all day over the weekend and a voluntary place in hospital if she wants to start taking new meds. Fingers crossed.

Alow - we got a puppy a few months ago. Great fun! Hard work and over excited DCs on the way then Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/08/2011 21:02

Lovely, Indigo. That's such a leap she's had.

I've got into an argument with bloody SharperSeven again. (The OP of the thread about a thread. Look.

^TwuntyBollocksBrigade
Right, I will just say this once.

The quote "twunty bollocks ...." was used to indicate the type of insult/comment posted by folk vehemently disagreeing with someone posting on a thread.

These folk were then described as a "brigade" in that they seem to unite and decide to get the thread deleted.

At no time did I use these words to refer to Special Needs parents, nor did I intend them to be interpreted as such.

YOU decided, WRONGLY, that such was my intention, and you persisted in putting forward, WRONGLY, that that was what I meant-"go on, admit it, or words to that effect (I don't copy and save whole threads to quote later, sorry.)

I have no beef with Special needs children, or their parents.^

Have to admit, I'm enjoying it. Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/08/2011 21:03

Oh, my italics didn't work.

intothewest · 05/08/2011 21:05

Smug- You win- Your day more stressful than mine !!Fingers crossed for your mum... I just had the screaming (though it did go on for a very long time)

BrigadeOfLannisters · 05/08/2011 21:07

I've been away for a bit and also have to constantly namechange. What does the thread title refer to exactly?

Nice summary of this weeks twattery there EllenJane Grin
