Well it's shit for me, but then it generally is. Amazed I'm still upright but appear to be all the same!

EllenJane1 · 29/03/2011 21:20

Hang on in there Starlight. Thinking of you.

same here pipin been off months and loving it!!! I have just been advised I should maybe go to tribunal. Sorry just thought severely disabled kids in special schools got everything handed on a plate. Now everyone's gonna shoot me.

Starlight time is a great healer, however I suppose you have heard this so many times. Keep upright, we are all thinking of you. x

pipin, my dad died yesterday, I've been reported for DLA benefit fraud and my ds has regressed according to independent EP. Not to mention the Annual review last week where the usual happened 'we don't specify hours, salt doesn't help kids with asd' etc etc. and the fact that the school we have requested is appealing against us........

cornsilk678 · 29/03/2011 23:14

sorry to hear about your dad starlight Sad

moondog · 29/03/2011 23:16

Hi, sorry dev. Didn't mean to ruin your thread. The thing about having a child with SN (probably a child full stop) is that you are never able to lose it or wallow in self pity.

What I find saddest was that my dad was the only family member to actually celebrate my ds' 'difference' and be proud of his character even when influenced heavily by his disability. I'm gutted at the lost relationship.

rebl · 30/03/2011 12:08

starlight I'm so sorry to hear your news Sad.

mariamagdalena · 30/03/2011 12:24

Oh Starlight, so sorry for your loss.

SparkleRainbow · 30/03/2011 12:31

Starlight I am so sorry for your loss. Sad You are having to cope with so much. Sad

Think we are still swimning upstream here, but we are drowning now. Every day is another fight, so no real change then.

magso · 30/03/2011 12:37

Starlight I am so sorry about your Dad and everything else that is happening at present.

I did not go to appeal over the revised statement but have gone for an early review - which is next week.( chews fingers) I just did not feel I had the strength for an appeal - and it risked missing out on our preferred sn school choice for year 7.

HelensMelons · 30/03/2011 19:32

Have been offline, sorry about your dad Starlight x
