Thought I'd get the ball rolling...

How has everyone's week been?

the sign household have experienced the continued visitation of the snot fairy... (see week before last!) but 2nd lots of antibiotics are seeing her off at last...

ds has been very floppy, (which does mean he is incredibly cute and cuddly, and I am guilty mummy for liking all the cuddles! Blush)

I have to work tomorrow Sad, but do get to see my lovely students Smile.

I have opened the wine and started the 'extra/spare' easter egg that 'fell' into my basket. Blush

The HT is out of order Indigo. When you are down about DD's progress if when you are most likely to ask for help!

EllenJane1 · 18/03/2011 21:56

Sorry indigo, cross posted. Don't worry about pissing teachers off. They know you just want the best for your DCs. And if DS has improved that's always good news.

Wait and see moose. It's got so many twists you'll never guess.

My mum was a teacher and she is gunning for the teachers at DS's school. Do you think that they would do anything else if it were them??

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 18/03/2011 22:01

hello dietcokegirl, Wine gin and chocolate on offer, do pull up a chair Smile

moose, my lot regularly think I've lot the plot as a result of mn, but edgars news was just awful, poor family Sad

ellenjane, that was a very good meeting wasn't it Smile

dame, sorry to hear about your work, hope you can find something else soon!

indigo, don't feel Blush there really is no reason, school will have forgotten by monday. I'm another one that sits at home firing off emails when I feel like that.

justa, hope ds is ok, have no idea about locks on doors.

I can't watch red nose day either, same with children in need.

IndigoBell · 18/03/2011 22:07

Thanks everyone :)

I think they are just defensive because she has made no progress and so however I phrase it they feel like I'm criticizing them.

But I'm not criticizing them. It's a fact she has made no progress. They are doing everything they can do for her. They are doing an awful lot. They are doing their best. But their best isn't good enough.

And that is what nobody wants to hear.

Guess I need more sucking up in future emails :) ( Trouble is I'm always pretty blunt and direct. I often accidently offend people :( )

Hi all am just popping in tonight before I have an early night.

Moose, horrendous stuff going on at your Ds's school, the cross country is unforgivable . Do they just not bother to read reports. They expect us to read theirs!!

The bullying must really worry you.

We have had a wierd week , Dd3 had another one to one at CAMHS, god what I wouldn't give to know what she saysSmile.

I withdrew my volunteer[sp] support at her school. Dd3 was upset that I wasn't going but she coped well. And I phoned another school and made an appointment to go and look round on Monday.

Her behaviour has been odd this week she is seriously clingy one minute and shouting at me the next.

Hey ho, its chocolate and an early night for me.

Oh and INDIGO... fwiw I think when you are down is absolutly the right time to ask the school why they are not doing enough for your Dd. If everything was rosy you wouldn't be writing would you. Fgs they are so thick somtimes.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 18/03/2011 22:31

indigo, there is only so much a school can do on their own even if they are fantastic, it's not them failing, it's just needing something more specialised or more expensive than they can provide.

Just catching up on this weeks news
Welcome to smartiehouse
Sorry to hear about work DameEB - will keep fingers crossed for a quick resolution.
Ben 10 - Sad about no friends - surely they can do more than team games [no comment]
Moose - loved the pictures, but the descriptions made me positively drool - chocolate ganache, hmmmmm Envy
I can just imagine if school made my DS do cross country. What a bunch of t*s thinking (?) that he would be able to cope with that.
Indigo - i'm surprised that the HT can't do more to help progress the education of your DS - HT seems amazing if they can dx depression from an e-mail! Hmm
Now i've forgotten my mental list of who said what (it's the blonde in me - well, dyed grey!) - but be gone impetigo! and lol at the thought of the cat laughing up stairs - i read it at first like that too!
Wishing all a snot, vomit, impetigo, bullying and meltdown free week
