Dd2 is off to the clothes show with Dd1 and Dn1 tomorrow so we have Gd coming for the day, should be iteresting as she and Dd3 don't get on that well!!

Got a CAMHS appointment today for the 20th.

Am going to eat chocolate tonightXmas Grin.

ghoulsforgodot · 03/12/2010 17:00

evening all. Just about to order a chinese takeaway and put some vino in the fridge to chill.
Horrendous weather this week resulting in no nursery. Cabin fever set in big style so fingers crossed all back to normal next week.
How are you all? How's everyones week been?

bigcar · 03/12/2010 17:16

Well this week has been reasonably relaxed due to all the schools being closed for the last 3 days, so mild cabin fever but hey, no stressing over a bloody useless school and wondering how many falls dd3 will have had Xmas Smile It's made me realise just how much that place stresses me out Xmas Sad Panel sits next week to decide if we can officially opproach the school we really want dd3 to go to.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 03/12/2010 17:20

still got get the kids to finish their tea, got food shopping, walk the dog, bath the kids and then I can sit down with takeaway Grin
had a fairly good week here, so much so Im considering pinching myself!!

auntevil · 03/12/2010 17:44

remember to get the euro lottery ticket lisa - your on a roll!
Bigcar - if the panel don't play ball - i'll meet you in town and we can do a raid on the LEA offices and throw them in the ponds to re-focus their minds.
All quiet on the appointment front for us at the moment. SENco appt, for DS3 next week - all physical stuff, so shouldn't have too many arguments! DS1 and DS2 both had their parent's evening cancelled for the last 2 weeks due to OFSTED and then the snow - so assuming they will be next week. Shouldn't think there will be any surprises.
DH wants curry soup tonight - strange man - so off to chop some veg. Although he's just phoned to say all trains are cancelled so he will have to get tube and bus - he may be some time!

auntevil · 03/12/2010 17:45

Arsenic - LOL at 'referral over bouncy' - so know what you mean!

bigcar · 03/12/2010 17:52

auntevil, you're on Xmas Grin That would give me such a sense of satisfaction, although will have to find a section that will get more than just their ankles wet Xmas Grin Hope your dh makes it home ok, curry soup sounds yum!

auntevil · 03/12/2010 17:56

I was thinking more of the 6 foot of sludge that is under the water Xmas Grin . My brother fell in once and had to be driven home in the boot of the car with the dog as he was so smelly and green.
We could also herd the geese into the offices, they are pretty scary Xmas Grin

FanjoForTheMincePies · 03/12/2010 17:58

ghpuls, i feel your pain, nursery was closed here til thurs then we couldn't manage to get in there...having wine and takeaway tonight too!

FanjoForTheMincePies · 03/12/2010 17:58

i meant ghouls of course.

silverfrog · 03/12/2010 17:59

it's been a loooong week here.

had dd2 off all last week with conjunctivitis, then dd1 off at the beginning of this week as her eyes had strted to be a little gummy (getting eye drops in was fun -NOT!), and then both off the rest of the week due to snow.

cabin fever is setting in big time, and that's just me Grin

dh has been home all week too, so a full house, all of us getting narky...

dd1 is supposed to have a Christmas party on Sunday, but not looking like we'll make it Sad

am hoping for day release respite next week - hopefully dd1 will get back to school!

auntevil, your poor brother that can't have been nice! Geese followed by the swans I reckon, that'd get em Xmas Grin a trail of breadcrumbs should do it.

IndigoBell · 03/12/2010 18:17

Went to a NAS workshop today which was better than I thought it would be. Also really great to meet other people in RL who have children like min Grin

DS came top of his class in Maths! (After they assured me he was 'bang on average' )

Now they want to move him up to the to maths set - but he's not keen :)

ghoulsforgodot · 03/12/2010 18:17

waves to fanjo!
How is your DD?
This weather is crap. Its all frozen here now and lethal.
Solverfrog-had DH at home too and some serious narkiness going on.
Starlight, how do you find the NAS? my experience of them has been shocking (apart from the press officer in London who was a fab lady).
I should really change my nickname since I am still on the Halloween theme. Ideas for Christmas theme?
Waitingforgodotandxmas?

TheArsenicCupCake · 03/12/2010 18:19

DD is fine now, but does NOT want to go back to nursery, think it will be hard to resettle her!

fightingthezombies · 03/12/2010 18:31

Evening all. After 3 days of school closure ds has been climbing the walls (but at least there's been no upset at school) . I have been loathe to go out after my spectacular fall on the ice but ventured into town for a spot of Christmas shopping. Not got a lot planned for the weekend but hoping snow melts soon and everything is back to 'normal'.

Triggles · 03/12/2010 18:37

Have had the day from hell here. Completely lost it this morning and cried all over DH over a family issue - too much stress that I'm dealing with right now. We're dealing with things with DS2, me having some upcoming (painful) dental stuff (dentists really freak me out), DH waiting to have surgery in the next couple month, my family are all being idiots, and now additional stress from someone else in the family. Because I NEED more stress, I suppose...... Hmm

And just my luck, DH has decided to cut out drinking, so I can't even have a bottle of wine in the house as I said I'd support him in it. I guess the search for chocolate in the house begins.....

Lougle · 03/12/2010 19:10

DD1 is 5 today!!!!

We decided to keep it all low key despite her excitement in the previous week. She was meant to be at school all day but snow meant closure.

So we did 'party' lunch at Nanny & Grandad's house with her 2 cousins on my side of the family and her Auntie, and my Uncle. She loved it, and we could be totally flexible round her, so she didn't get stressed. A few baloons, 'party food' and a cake.

Then in the afternoon, her Homestart volunteer she adores came to play, a lady from my church popped in to see if I needed milk or bread (snow) and stayed for a cuppa, and her other Auntie and 1 cousin came to play.

Exhausted and crying by the end of the day, but very keen to make sure everyone knows she is 5 years old!!!

TheArsenicCupCake · 03/12/2010 19:12

Triggles .. That sound horrid. :(

tell family to stop the stress .. Seriously just tell them straight.. Tis the only way .. or pull the " ifyou love and respect me.. Youll give it a rest .. If not don't even talk to me"
worked with my dad and he's an awkward sod sometimes.
