Anything, LOL. But I have a house full of teens who have ordered pizza and I have a tonne of paper work to plough through.YUK.

LollipopViolet · 15/10/2010 18:00

I need to do uni work :( Stupid lecturer wants an interview shot by the end of next week so I get to know the people who are going to be in my documentary. But I only have contacts for 2 of them and it's short notice so it's gonna be tough!

TheArsenicCupCake · 15/10/2010 18:02

:) ... Yuk at paper work and teens as a mix for a Friday night!

My temp is down to about the hundred mark now and I'm feeling a bit better.. Although I have managed to get all the dc's to snuggle up for a DVD night!

Ds2 is inthralled ( sp) with the geographical shapes and bridge things in the last mimsy!

I have paperwork too :( I just don't think anyone from the basketball team is gonna be free in the week to be interviewed, they've all got jobs/college/uni/kids. Does my lecturer not realise this?? Ugh.

SparkleRainbow · 15/10/2010 18:06

Still frantic with the dc, hope to join you later, save me a glass of wine, will bring nibbles.

Ineed2 · 15/10/2010 18:06

Oh well ... the pizza is here now so should get 5 mins peace!!Grin

I've contacted my main contact through fb Arsenic, so hopefully she'll get back to me ASAP, as she's actually someone that could be interviewed. We'll see :) I might just say "oi, you lot, meet me at the pub!" and see what happens lol!

TheArsenicCupCake · 15/10/2010 18:14

Lpv.. You might need to.. And that totally sounds like a plan!

If I disapear for a bit don't be offended... :)

Hi all, I'm in and out this evening, however I think I will start with the hot choc cos i'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing x

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 15/10/2010 18:22

'Oh well ... so should get 5 mins peace!!'

I was nodding along in agreement because I could have sworn I read '5 mince pies' and I thought - 'you lucky thing'

I've been crying all afternoon. DS' 1:1 who works hard for him and appears to really care, got cross with something I said and walked out of the meeting with class teacher.

I was complaining - again, and mentioned taking ds for 2 mornings a week to work on his 'real targets' which I think she took personally.

I'm gutted though. She's the best thing (bar our ABA tutors) that has happened to ds, but tbh she didn't have much competition. Still I feel awful. I'd hate for her to think I meant she was rubbish or anything like that. I do think she's not quite doing things right that needs a bit of tweaking but still.........

I don't really know how to fix it. I sent her a note saying that I could see how committed she was to the day-to-day difficulties but my complaints are about the bigger picture. I just can't say 'You're wonderful, making all the difference to ds, I'm so glad he has someone who understands how to get the best of him' because a)I'd be lying and b)It will not help any future tribunal cases.

Evening ladies :)

I'm just popping to Asda but will be back later.

My sister is in slow labour (since yesterday), hope she hurries up HmmGrin

LollipopViolet · 15/10/2010 18:25

Ugh, my head feels like it's gonna burst! I think it's the worry about getting this interview-y thing done! I'm not going to stress, if I can do it, great, if not, it's tough! Gonna go and eat spag bol in a minute :)

Good thing I'm going to the ice hockey again on Sunday, I can take pictures, relax and watch the sport I love :)

devientenigma · 15/10/2010 18:31

Hi5, hope you put the new baby piccies on facebook??

TheArsenicCupCake · 15/10/2010 18:40

Star.. Don't beat yourself up!

Have a cuppa and put it out of your head!.. What's done is done.. And hopefully shell be very professional about it all.
( I have upset soooo many people in my time as the most avoidable mother on the planet .. That I have come to the belief.. It's business.. I proffessionally say my piece.. Being ds2 advocate.. And I expect professionalism in return.. Nothing is personal).

Chatting to my mate on FB makes everything better :) As does homemade spag bol.

Please get back to me soon A.... I want to impress my tutor lol!

fightingthezombies · 15/10/2010 19:16

Star don't stress about it - I'm sure she'll come to realise that it's just because you care. Mind you, I had meeting at school this week and commented about all the letters that I keep sending in. I said 'you must think I'm the mum from hell' - they said I wasn't so I guess they must have some really bad mum's to deal with!Grin

childrenofthecornsilk · 15/10/2010 19:18

I have a roast on and wine in the fridge.mmmm
star Sad about the 1:1.She's probably regretting it now though - was quite an unprofessionalthing to do. Maybe she was having a bad day.

LollipopViolet · 15/10/2010 19:25

That's just reminded me.

I've got a meeting with our Regional Access Centre on Tuesday. To try and convince them to upgrade the software they gave me in first year, which the uni have now upgraded on their machines.

Which I know they gave to someone else on my course who left applying til his second year, before the uni actually did the upgrade.

They gave it to me so that if issues arose that meant I couldn't gain access to the uni, or I was struggling (say eyestrain headache at uni) I could go home, have a break and be able to keep up.

I really hope this meeting is to say yes because with all the stress of my film and other modules, I can't be bothered to argue. But I know I need this because it was SO helpful last year!

ouryve · 15/10/2010 19:31

It's almost a blissful evening.

DS1 is snuggling up to me playing with his DS. It's the most relaxed I've seen him for days.

DS2 is "reading" a poetry book. I should really upload a picture of what he was reading last weekend :D Actually, he's now sat on my knee, so a fight may break out any moment! Goodness knows what time he'll go to bed tonight, since he fell asleep on the way home from school.

5andahead · 15/10/2010 19:38

Well Asda was just a quickie as DS2 threw a wobbler about me going out and demanded he came with me. What fun that was Hmm

DE, will be putting pictures on if she ever makes an appearance.

I apologised to mam of broken glasses boy, and she was lovely about it, wouldn't take any money for new pair as he had a few spare anyway. Phew.
