I made a new thread as the other one consisted mainly of July/August claims. Feel free to insert scan date for the above months and whether it’s a new claim or MR and update when you have been awarded ! Good Luck 🤞🏽
NC - new claims
MR - mandatory reconsideration
SD - scan date se

I’ve also included a lot of paperwork (I’m actually worried I gave them too much to read 🤦🏼‍♀️). I was wondering about the text. I might pluck up courage to call them again tomorrow and I’ll ask.

I feel this sent my daughters ehcp risk assessment ep report medication she's on reduce timetable as she was doing 1.5 hours a day for 8 months suspension letters all in all I sent 60 pages not including the form I filled

shejokes11 · 20/10/2026 14:38

I’ve called and they have stopped giving timeframes due to many callers as they are severely behind

We broke them 🫣😅 oh well, I suppose what will be will be, as much as we would like to know the amount of claims and renewals they must be dealing with it’s understandable… as soon as I hear I’ll post x

Scan date 3/8. Received payment today, looks like hrc and lrm. No text or letter yet. Last rang on thursday and was told it was in a queue for case manager still. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck doll, I do wonder what volume of claims there is tbh, as the news have reported that it has increased dramatically in the past two years x

NC with a scan date of 10/8. I'm feeling more anxious now we're getting closer. I've held off calling as much as possible. Not sure if I'd rather hear of a decline over the phone or just with a letter. I think I've convinced myself it will be a no

I’m feeling exactly the same as you, id rather a letter than hear it… keep positive though, there’s still MR and Appeal xxx

Hi not sure if anyone can help me. So my little ones claim was declined on Friday. When I applied he was 15 months old so they obviously made the decision based on his age because they said all children of that age require extra care. Even tho majority of 15 month olds can crawl, probs can walk. And can point wave clap say single words etc but any how he’s nearly 19 months old now so that’s quite a gap when it comes to development surely. And nothings changed so I’m wondering should I do a new claim rather than a MR because surely a mr is for another set of eyes to see if they agree or disagree with the decision makers decision at that time where as now if I make a new claim I can state it all again but with him being 19 months old. Not even sure if this message makes sense 😅 but any advice be appreciated xx

Dream133 · 20/10/2026 16:42

And also it’s more to the point that professionals think it’s something rather than “him just being slow” due to them requesting genetic testing, development bloods etc. which as his mam I know it’s something more I’ve been concerned since he was around 9 months old. He has low muscle tone also x

I think MR then use any new supporting evidence if it goes to appeal x good luck, and remember it’s how his care needs affect daily living not necessarily diagnosis xx

They do this because at age 3 or 5 (someone correct me if I’m wrong) they expect the child to have picked up these things by then. Basically developmental delays shall develop in the future even if they aren’t now and they wait to the age above to see if it does.

@shejokes11 thank you for the info. So do you think it’s pointless even doing a MR as he’s only 19 months old. X

Always worth trying, my niece is developmentally delayed and non verbal, and my sister has been getting DLA for her since she was 18 m/o

Same scan date here 👋🏽.
We might be lucky, some with SD a month before us are getting payments and desicions now. Might be before Christmas 🤞🏽

Hi @Rivendell25 I hope so too. The more time goes on the more I’m thinking we are going to get declined. What’s your situation?

My dc is refusing school at the moment and it generally takes so much mental effort to get them up and ready for their day. I’ve ended up with several health issues (I believe mainly because of the stress). They often say they don’t see the point in life even though I have to do everything for them and have sacrificed so much to keep them going. I don’t go out, or go on holiday anymore as they get so distressed with any changes or anything new and I just don’t have the mental capacity for it. It’s so difficult and I’ve ended up having money issues due to the things bought for them clothes furniture toys etc which get ruined weekly. But to others DC look fine as they mask in front of other people so it’s very hard to prove, I’m constantly having to fight for others to recognise and believe it. Then I have to wait for someone at the DWP to decide whether I’m telling the truth or not. It’s going to be so difficult if we get declined, I’m trying to prepare for it. So sorry for the brain dump.

Ive also got dla for my son from him being 2.5 hes just been rewarded until his 17th birthday but ive done a coc and looks like its probably going to clash with when they invite him to apply for pip 🤦‍♀️🤣

He has development delay and nocturnal enuresis hes always got mrc.

Agreed with Jackie, always worth trying if you feel your child should be entitled x

Hey Fedup, ive just posted my daughters NC for mental health. She's just turned 14, she's now being home schooled as of last month due to the severity of her MH declining, school was amazing its been on going for over year now and they did a managed move to see if that helped but it made it worse and she returned to her school 8 weeks later. Then after a few months it just got so bad we had a meeting and school said home schooling is prob our only option or she's going to start self harming, gp refered to cahms, cams said TOG ( agency for talk therapy/counseling) she's refused that so back to gp yesterday and hes done a new referral back to cahms to be seen my a phycologist. She always says she doesn't want to be here no more.. her panick attacks are multiple times a day, her moods so low she doesnt leave the house or have any kind of interaction with anyone outside out house its absolutely draining to see and deal with.

I hope you get a positive outcome, I know if we dont ill be straight to MR and then tribunal if they take it that far!

Goodluck, I got a message this morn saying forms received 25w wait so we shall see x
