She said something along the lines of all children on his age needs constant supervision which I guess they do. But he’s 19 months old can’t crawl, walk. He has low muscle tone so don’t eat very well either relys on being spoon fed soft foods. At 15 months he had a soggs assessment which stated he was developing around the age of 8-10 months and nothing has changed since I that. So I don’t know where to go from here is it worth doing a MR or just leave it! We currently waiting on genetics, speech therapy dietician etc. I’m unable to go back to work due to him having complete meltdown in environments he don’t know and to be honest the thought of leaving him with a stranger that don’t know his likes/ dislikes and having other children to look after at the same time makes me feel sick. They did say when he starts pre school the health visitor have put the forms in for him to have a 1:1 but obviously with just a child minder for the time being that’s not possible

I’m not sure 🙈 maybe ask for them to make sure you’re signed up to receive a text message when a decision is made. And whilst they’re on the phone… can they update you on the status?

Dream133 · 19/10/2026 11:12

I sent off a paediatrician letter confirming the delays I put down and low muscle tone. Doing genetics etc. a physio letter confirming low muscle tone and how distressed etc he gets. Soggs assessments and his referrals to iscan and child development service but nope 🫣 but after a look online I’m gonna appeal it because it’s been quite a gap in age now since applying and nothings changed so wel see 😬 hope you get your award xxx

@shejokes11 @Dream133 Just wanted to say that we experienced so many similar difficulties with our son, who's now 8. Unfortunately, so much was missed or dismissed when he was younger, and we're now dealing with the consequences and struggling to get him the support he needs.
I genuinely believe that prevention is better than cure, and early intervention can make such a difference to a child's development and wellbeing.
Please don't give up advocating for your children. You know what they need better than anyone, and I'd definitely consider asking for a mandatory reconsideration. Sending lots of love. ❤️

I’m a 10th August submission date. I have contacted and they have explained it is still in a queue and hasn’t been assigned to anyone for review yet.
