1 lb off for me.
Lots were raving about the Marry Me Chicken Pasta from Iceland and as I pass it on the way home went in and bought on whilst there was still a discount. On the pack it says - Free Food plus with one food optomising "a" choice. Is that the old wording for the new Fat, Fibre or Calcium choices. Do I just count it say, the calcium choice, in my daily amounts please.
Nobody to ask until next Saturday and I might eat it on Thursday. 😄

Yes it means it is free if you are using your Calcium choice, if not you’ll need to use your swips for it.

FishPie2 · 08/02/2026 18:03

Thank you. Will work it round that one then.

buttonsdude · 09/02/2026 15:17

3lb off for me this week 🎉🎉 so the 2 weeks I've been following the old style plan and 2 weeks I've had a decent loss. I mentioned it in group today and my consultant has said a few people are reporting gains/maintains/lower losses on the new style. Interesting.

Myswweetchild · 09/02/2026 15:31

May I join ?
I'm not in an actual group, but I'm following the plan as best I can.
I was 13st 4 on Friday. Will weigh this Friday. I'd like to lose a stone in 12 weeks.
Posting for accountability.
@buttonsdude well done on the loss. I'm hoping for 3lb off, but will be pleased with 2.
Not RTFT yet, but I will ❤️

Wilma55 · 09/02/2026 15:39

@buttonsdude by old style do you mean 2 hex a and one hex b, rather than any 3 extras? I would have thought all healthy extras were similar calories though I've never actually checked. In my case I'd often only have one a and one b choice so I suppose if I had one of each that would add a few calories a day. Did the consultant offer any explanation?

OP posts:
buttonsdude · 09/02/2026 16:21

Yes I mean the 2 X a choice and 1 x b choice. I'd usually only have had the 1 a choice then my b choice so by having the freedom to mix and match I found myself having all 3 which is basically extra calories going in that I wasn't having before. My consultant really didn't have an explanation but was very supportive of me going back to the old style and encouraged others to play around with it a bit to see what works best for each of us - all bodies work differently and what works for one person doesn't for another

fishfingerbutty · 09/02/2026 16:23

The new style is the same as the old style calorie wise so will make no difference to weight loss. Around 120 calories per HE.
SW have done the calorie counting for us.

Lauders · 09/02/2026 16:28

Hi all, I’d like to join if I can. I’ve joined online two weeks ago as I can’t get to a group but need some ‘accountability’ as I keep telling myself I’ll start tomorrow! So actually now, I plan to start fresh tomorrow 😬 I used WLI last year and it changed my life but once I came off them and the food noise came back, I’m struggling! Hoping SW might help with some of it as I can still ‘eat’

Myswweetchild · 09/02/2026 16:37

Hi @Lauders just joined here today so we're in the same boat. Well, I can get to a group but I feel quite motivated to try on my own. I like the sw plan, and pretty much follow it anyway.
How much do you want to.lose ?
Is it for a specific holiday or event ?

Lauders · 09/02/2026 20:52

I lack motivation so need to be held accountable! I know what to do- whether is SW or otherwise but lack any motivation to do it. Hoping this time is the time.

1 1/2 lbs off for me this week. It’s been a struggle as I’ve been hungry for all the wrong things. Choc, cake, crisps, everything I want to gorge on. I’ve made myself eat yogurt and banana to take the sweet edge off. I’m also seriously addicted to chicken and sweetcorn mugshots for only 1 1/2 syns. I’ve even got up in the night to have one!
SW 15st 2lbs
CW 12st 6lbs
Target 12st but I’d like to go to 10st 7lbs

You’re doing well.
Re the target weight: a previous SW consultant of mine used to say that we should get down to a weight we were happy with, then set target at three pounds below that, so that even if at the top of target, we were okay.

Blueuggboots · 11/02/2026 08:57

I’ve just rejoined. Loving the third HE!
mid put back on almost 3 stone but have stuffed my face for the last year so I know why.

GenerousGardener · 11/02/2026 12:05

@fishfingerbutty I’ll reset my target if I get down to 12st. It’s a struggle because I have daily medication that causes weight gain as a side effect. That s good tip from your consultant. I’m doing SW online as there are no groups near me.

suki1964 · 11/02/2026 23:51

Sorry Ive not been posting or reading or supporting

Three of us now with cancer, its tough going with travelling to hospitals , waiting times , well the whole days just all about hospitals fitting around my early morning shift

Ill be more involved when life settles

Still doing my best to follow the basics

FishPie2 · 12/02/2026 15:18

I am really going to have to walk around blindfold in Aldi next week as they have the Bilash curries back in stock for a few days. They are my very favourite ones, even over restaurant meals, SW ones just don't hack it against these.
I do make my own but usually buy a few of these.
Looking for a little better loss than 1lb this week but have had a couple of Non Scale wins, can tuck my T shirt in my jeans and jean feel a little looser round the bum area.

Wilma55 · 12/02/2026 17:43

Hang on in there @suki1964. Post when you can.

We are busy arranging fil funeral and SW has taken a back seat.

fishfingerbutty · 12/02/2026 17:53

Suki and Wilma, sometimes life gets in the way, and SW doesn’t matter.
Just do what you can.

fishfingerbutty · 12/02/2026 18:43

What is the Aldi Bilash curry? Which one is that?

FishPie2 · 12/02/2026 18:58

Don't go there 😊they come to Aldi twice a year for a week and are wonderful but following SW they are a no no. They start at about 17 swips each upwards, in calories are from 500 to 1100 each one so working them out at 20 cals per swip/syns they are very heavy.

3lb off for me this week.

we have the slimming foodie books and the slimming eats book so we’re trying to do lites of recipes from those.

GenerousGardener · 12/02/2026 19:16

@Blueuggboots 3lb is brilliant. Well done you. I bought a pack JD Spices and am busy working my way through them. Lovely recipes and they are nearly all syn free. Spanish chicken, Cajun, and Jamaican jerk have been real favourites. Some of the SW recipes that I’ve used on the website are rank, either that or I’m cooking them badly!

Blueuggboots · 12/02/2026 19:21

It was my first week but I’m in control and eating lots of fresh food which is an improvement so I’ll take whatever happens.
going to London with work tomorrow so I’ve prepped a big salad and going to Wagamama’s for dinner.
