2.5lbs off for me this week.
this weeks meals have been so boring and samey.
weetbix with banana and blueberries for breakfast, homemade soup for lunch & whatever i planned for tea, i.e chilli & rice, we had a nandos fakeaway on Wednesday, the absolute best was last night, made the Chicken Tikka Dirty Fries and oh my god it was devine & is a favourite in my house, even my husband loves that one.

IlovetoKnitandRead · 04/10/2025 11:47

Well done @ListenLinda brilliant weight loss.
I am having the same breakfast so that I can have my HEb for lunch. I have Alpro soy yoghurt, 80g berries and 5g linseeds, which is lovely , but I think I might tire of it soon. Today I rebelled and had a banana too!
The chicken tikka sounds lovely. Is it SW or Pinch of Nom?

It’s slimming world. I’m sure the recipe will be on the app but its one of the books I bought when I rejoined last year. I’ll see if i can find it.

It’s on the app :) the first time I made it it seemed a bit faffy, but it is so worth it!

Well done Linda, I'm not really getting it. Think samey might be the way to go.
I don't agree you can eat out either.
If I go out tonight, Ive no chance of even a measly half pound loss.

Thanks for info on App.

ListenLinda · 04/10/2025 15:23

@birling16 i promise you it will just click :)

where are you going tonight? Maybe we can help you out with some low syn suggestions or some swaps?

No I'm sulking at home eating left over chicken.😃

Thanks though!!!

Hello
Please can I join you. I went to my first group earlier this week. Getting irrationally annoyed with it already, especially because exercise doesn't give you any extra food. I am hungry and frustrated! I am also missing bread, I know it's allowed but I like my cereal for breakfast and healthier crisps/choc bars for snacks!

ListenLinda · 04/10/2025 22:20

Hey @ItWillBeDone welcome!

you don’t need to miss bread 😊
what minds of things have you been eating this week?
good choice on the healthier crisps & chocolate for snacks, a good way to use your syns up!

Thank you! All sorts, inc homemade curry and chilli. The meals are great. I think I'm just grumpy that exercise doesn't give you anything extra.

Mash88 · 05/10/2025 07:10

Weighed in yesterday and maintained. Was over the moon at this and love I have some accountability again.

@lechatnoir congratulations on your loss, I do agree that the running does help me but in a sense of healthier lifestyle choices instead of seeing this as just a diet. When I exercise I want to eat better and vice versa.

@IlovetoKnitandRead the campfire stew is amazing, remember making that when the PON book came out.

@Wilma55 a one pound gain is pretty good after a weeks holiday and celebration weekend. You can easily get that back off and into target.

@ListenLinda congratulations on the loss, I do tend to have samey meals on weekdays when at work. It helps me with the snacking or nipping to town to buy treats. Dinners and weekends is where I will try new recipes or have more freedom. I find this works for me.

@ItWillBeDone welcome to the group :)

ListenLinda · 05/10/2025 10:09

@ItWillBeDone before I joined slimming world i was always told not to eat my exercise calories back as it puts them in the bank for a bigger loss/deficit. 😊

well i’ve roasted up my tomatoes & red peppers with onion and garlic for another batch of soup this week. Going to go for a 2lb loss this week, hopefully!
roast pork dinner tonight, i will have to resist the crackling 😭

I'm hoping it will pay off in my first weigh in! Time will tell.

birling16 · 06/10/2025 15:05

Phew! One and a half loss today. Down side awake at 1.30 am feeling hungry.

Its incredibly slow.

IlovetoKnitandRead · 06/10/2025 16:37

2lb weight loss here, so very chuffed. I am still really hungry and my nutracheck calories are averaging about 900 a day. I am only 5ft any fairly sedentary. When I did Fast 800 the fats must have kept me fuller for longer😂

Wilma55 · 07/10/2025 11:05

Wow some really good weight
losses here! Wish I could say the same but its a maintain for me, not too bad as it was my birthday so there was cake, a beer festival and meal out.

Love soup season, made the sweet potato and peanut butter soup out of the SW Souper book. It was a bit of an unusual combination and not sure I would make it again especially as its 4syns.

Wow, you are all doing so brilliantly - well done the lot of you xxxx

@Birling , you shouldn't be hungry, seriously you shouldn't Now Ive been away a while so cant mind, are you doing this alone online, going to group or just winging it?

If you are going it alone or winging it, give us all a days meals and maybe we can help?

The only time I was going hungry was my first week where I wasnt recording properly , not quite getting what a HEA and HEB was so totally feared to eat

So Im back from 5 nights in Prague. I drank beer - at least 3 pints a day , I ate dumplings at least once a day , I even had cake . Also done at least 20k steps a day so hoping the damage isnt too bad - I can still fit my jeans and not sat here with the button open :). Not every win is a scale win

Got back home at tea time and because of a mix up with bank cards and all sorts, no organised meal in the house so it was a burger, beans and air fried chips . Looking forward to getting to the shops tomorrow and filling up on the fresh produce. I loved the food in Prague, but Im also looking forward to lighter meals

Wilma55 · 08/10/2025 07:25

Welcome back @Suki1964 sounds like you had a good break.

We had left over gammon, egg, beans and chips the other night, lovely! (Chips were not home made but weighed)

Forgot to say that the new 12 week countdown will have 3 free books with it. There will be a choice of 3, 3 book bundles.
Presume they are going to be bringing out new books from January with the new SW terminology!

OP posts:
lechatnoir · 08/10/2025 07:58

Morning all, I went to group yesterday and was quite surprised they’re giving away three books but As you say @Wilma55 this will be to clear the decks before the new plan is launched in January.

Another good week for me 1.5 down Which I’m really pleased about as I did have a couple of blip meals. I’m a massive soup fan - usually For lunch, but will sometimes have a small portion mid afternoon if I’m at risk of snacking. I generally try and stick to SP for soup - Butternut squash & red pepper, veg & bean, chicken & veg, hot & sour etc

Any good cod recipes? I’m trying to eat more fish, but never really know what to do with it.

HealthyWeightBy40 · 08/10/2025 07:58

Yes they are calling them "bundles of joy", we said hopefully not a baby 🤣
Honestly some of the terminology they come up with is ridiculous!
On a serious note though I'm not sure why you can't just pick any 3 books - you have to pick a set bundle which is a bit annoying if you want 1 book from 1 bundle and 1 from another.

How long does this offer last. I can't rejoin until 1st November. Thanks
