Depends on height/weight, but the general rule is two HEA and One HEB - and you can split them
So HEB is two full slices of Tesco Nevilles WM bread ( example ) , it's also 45grm of bio and me granola - both of which I like . So for me a typical day would be using one slice of bread as the base for an open sandwich for lunch, and using 20gr of the granola to add a bit of crunch to fruit and yoghurt - be that breakfast or dessert or late night snack
Most WM bread is 1 large slice as a HEB but Tescos Nevilles is 2 slices
Its also 1 warbutons protein pitta, thins or bagel ( I love the pittas and the thins ) or two tiny slices of say the wholemeal Nimble - not all breads are equal.
A good idea , if you dont want to be paying a subscription , and you have a few hours spare, is to join online for a week - to get the app , so you can scan the weekly buys for syn values. Because not every brand of foods have the same syn value
I shop mostly in Lidl. Cottage cheese for example - they carry three. One is 4.5 syns, one is 1 syn per pot, another is Free. Its too easy to be adding hidden syns when you are thinking you are eating syn free
Fancy a sausage? Think turkey or pork sausages are syn free? Some out there are 4 syns each - yet one brand is just half a syn . Some turkey burgers are syn free, others two . Think you cant use a jar of tomato sauce - there's some out there that are just 1 syn for the whole jar , others that are your complete syn allowance
I know most of lidl and tesco brands syns but if Im shopping in Marks or Sainsbury's ( rare as a different town ) I need to scan - and. that's me on plan for near on 3 years - still getting caught out
