I just don't believe this really works. I feel like whenever I ask about it everyone insists it works but no one's actually lost anything!

I know there's success stories on the website but not that many. Seems quite hard to find people who've actually lost weight.

So...
How much have you lost?
How long did it take?
Start and current weights?

If you convince me I'll try it!!

From the websites

Food Optimising is a flexible eating plan designed to create healthy eating patterns that can be maintained long term. It’s based on nutrition science that shows that foods higher in protein and carbohydrate are more satiating than foods high in fat. Encouraging a higher intake of more satiating foods helps to limit energy intake and results in weight loss. Food Optimising combines the principles of energy density (the calories per gram in a food) and satiety (how filling a food is).

A typical Food Optimising daily menu includes at least five portions of fruits and vegetables alongside a healthy amount of lean protein-rich foods and carbohydrates, measured portions of fibre- and calcium-rich foods, and a reduction in overall fat, saturated fat and free sugars (the sugars that are not naturally found in fruit and vegetables).

I wouldn’t lose weight on that.

When your potatoes or pasta have no butter or cheese on, you tend not to over eat them! Butter and cheese are limited which tends to limit the carbs as well!

Bread is not an unlimited food.

Carbs aren't 'unlimited' - you can't eat a whole bowl of potatoes, you eat potatoes as part of a meal so not easy to over eat.

It works. If you follow a recipe it gives you amounts of potato pasta etc. It's common sense to know you can't eat 3 plates of pasta every meal and lose weight. It's designed to keep you full with a fairly low calorie density.

I know two people who’ve lost loads. (20lb for one and 30lb for another - both their targets). The thing is they actually stuck to it. They count the drops of oil, the odd spoonfuls, dressings and spreads. Everything. You need to check what you buy and do it properly.

The thing is you can eat loads of
potatoes and pasta. If you live on free food it’s all whole foods and fruit and veg (with some clean protein). Hard not to lose weight.

If you have lost weight, what changes did you make? I really need to lose 4 stones but carbs are my enemy and I can’t eat them much or I just gain weight. I eat a very healthy diet so I’m wondering what would be different.
