Im doing this now and making a commitment to myself that after this week I will be back on the straight and narrow. I don’t think I’ve gained much. But I’ve been off slimming world since mid November. My clothes still fit perfectly. I just feel shite in myself. I’ve been, not over eating but picking at crisps, chocolate, cake... wine! And it’s now starting to catch up with me in terms of my mood and energy levels and I just feel utterly CRAP.
It’s my daughters birthday today so there’s no chance i can avoid being naughty today.
I don’t know why I do it to myself. I love cooking. I love veg and salads and all the things that come with slimming world I just need to get back into the routine of planning ahead! That’s my downfall I think. would any one like to share some packed lunch ideas for work? I don’t have access to a fridge or a microwave either if that helps.

Hello
Weighed yesterday (started Sunday) and 1lb off.
I’m following the diet I did a few years ago with googling for Syns etc.
I tend to have berries, fat free Greek yoghurt and 40g low sugar granola for breakfast. This week I made a big Spanish omelette with fry light and had it with salad for lunch on work days. I had fried eggs with mushrooms and bacon on non work days.
Dinners were a SW vegetable, chicken and bacon pasta bake twice, prawn stir fry, cod, couscous and veg and last night we had steak with SW chips and broccoli.
Syns- hot chocolate every night, Gin and slimline one night, wine last night. A couple on sauces.
Tonight I have gone to town and done SW curry with green beans and rice with SW onion bajees and SW raita to start. Excited!
Tomorrow we’re having leek and smoked haddock risotto.
Meal plan for next week is the same but with salmon not cod and a different pasta bake!
Am I right that you can have 2 milk/ cheese healthy extras now, not one?

AnnaMariaDreams · 15/02/2020 15:36

And well done everyone (terrible at personals. Sorry Flowers

Ginnyrellas · 15/02/2020 15:59

@Annamariedreams

Your meals sound mouthwatering!! Yes you’re right you can have two healthy extra As x well done on the loss!

@BeigeFoodLover
I had a slip up yesterday and got absolutely trashed last night and ate a full bag of Doritos (family size) with dip! I have no regrets.

Back on it today though! Forgive me for my Syns 😂

BeigeFoodLover · 15/02/2020 17:35

@AnnaMariaDreams sounds like you’re doing really well! Well done!!

I like having the second HEXA - because I like having 1 for milk in tea then still have the option of melted cheese 🤣😳

@Ginnyrellas I’m working very hard on having no regrets... she says sitting with a glass of wine and thinking of salted peanuts! 😬

HopeYouStepOnALego · 15/02/2020 17:41

Hi all, I started again last week. I was a member a couple of years ago and lost 2.5 stones but then had a holiday and completely lost focus. Then had a bad year last year with family loss and illness and ended up putting 2 stones back on 🙁

Joined a new group on Wednesday and have kept to plan since then. Today I had scrambled egg on whole meal toast (HexB) for breakfast and Katsura chicken with salad for lunch. Dinner is ginger and soy salmon with rice and veg.

Katsu powder is a great find. Just dust the chicken pieces with it and bake and it's delicious!

Ginnyrellas · 15/02/2020 17:41

@beigefoodlover

I’m sat here on my 5th cringe gin and tonic 😂
Weekends are made for cheating.

BeigeFoodLover · 16/02/2020 10:47

@Ginnyrellas 🤣🤣 I have a feeling we are going to be both good and bad for each other on this thread!

@HopeYouStepOnALego ooh where do you get that from? X

Ginnyrellas · 16/02/2020 15:34

@beigefoodlover

I feel like ive been run over by a lorry today. I think ill be going dry until at least the weekend, So Hopefully ill limit my damage to the scales by then Haha!

Ginnyrellas · 17/02/2020 16:44

Oh I’ve had such a fall from grace over the past few days. Because I was hanging out my rear end yesterday I had the mother of all binge eating days. Woke up feeling absolutely shit. And carried it on through the day today. Over the past 2 days I’ve had crisp sandwiches. McDonald’s. Curry’s, booze the lot and I’m back to feeling bloated and just utterly wank 😩

HopeYouStepOnALego · 17/02/2020 16:48

@BeigeFoodLover, the Katsu powder is from Asda. In my branch it's kept near the condiment section.

I've been really good this weekend and have kept strictly to plan so I'm hoping for a good result at my first weigh in on Wednesday.

Starting again for the 100th time.
HopeYouStepOnALego · 17/02/2020 16:50

@Ginnyrella, don't beat yourself up. We all have those 'fall off the wagon' days. I had them when I did SW first time round. The important thing is to acknowledge that you've had a wobble, draw a line under it and get back to the plan as soon as you can. I hope you're feeling better today.

Ginnyrellas · 18/02/2020 17:04

@HopeYouStepOnALego
I’m feeling a bit better today, thank you for your encouragement. I have not been completely on plan today but I’d say a solid 85% but I still feel bloated and blergh! When will I learn!
I’ll be going down to Asda for that sauce I love katsu chicken! X

BeigeFoodLover · 19/02/2020 08:32

@Ginnyrellas - well done for clambering back onto it! It’s hard once you’re off!

@HopeYouStepOnALego thank you! I’m going to look for that!

I’m SO SO cross at myself. I haven’t been perfect, but considering I’m having the period from hell, I’ve been pretty impressed. However, last night I had Too much booze and a twix. I feel utter Wretched both mentally and physically! This is the worst hangover I’ve had. I don’t normally get them. So now I have to be strict with myself and not stuff carbs and salt in my mouth 😭

Ginnyrellas · 20/02/2020 07:27

@BeigeFoodLover
Don’t feel cross, like we all say draw a line and get back to it. But it’s the days like you had yesterday when you feel vile that just shows how good we feel when we eat properly! I used that as my motivation to get back on it. I hate the feeling of being bloated and tired. I remember when I was properly on it. When I drank like a trooper at the weekends I never ever got a hangover. But when I eat bad I always get them. It must be something to do with the nutrients from all the fruit and veg maybe. Lol.
I hope you are feeling better today. Xx

Ginnyrellas · 20/02/2020 07:37

Also I’ve been on annual leave since yesterday and not back at work til Sunday. (Yay for half term) so I’ve batched cooked a massive cottage pie to last a few days. A big lasagna and a fish pie. I have no excuses not to stay on plan. Depending on how much DD winds me up this week I might also stay dry till the weekend. Hears hoping 😂

HopeYouStepOnALego · 20/02/2020 10:56

@BeigeFoodLover I hope your period is easing up. It's so easy to comfort eat when you're not feeling 100%

@Ginnyrellas Has your DD wound you up much this week? Nearly at the end of half term so stay strong!

Had my first weigh in last night and was thrilled at 5lb off! I stuck rigidly to the plan so I was hopeful of something good. I just hope I can keep it up as I have a 21st at the end of the month and a trip to New York in March so already dreading how I'll cope with those.

I'm planning to make a lasagne for tonight.

Ginnyrellas · 20/02/2020 10:58

@HopeYouStepOnALego

Wow! 5lb! Amazing well done I bet you’re chuffed! Nah DD hasn’t wound me up yet lol theres still time 😂 x

BeigeFoodLover · 24/02/2020 11:10

Hi! Sorry for radio silence, not the best of weeks, hormones, half term, and then a few nights away. But I actually feel ok, I had a bit of blow out on pizza, booze, beige etc and let myself enjoy it until this morning.

We have just under 6 weeks until my holiday, I'd really like to lose a MINIMUM of 1lb a week, 2lbs if possible... so I'm working very hard to note down EVERYTHING.

How are you guys getting on?

Ginnyrellas · 24/02/2020 13:10

@BeigeFoodLover The hormone monster has also hit my house and I'm resisting the urge to shove as much chocolate down my throat as humanly possible and guzzle a bottle of Gin. The weekend food and drink wise wasn't that great for me. I had my Parents over both Saturday and Sunday for Dinner and they brought a lot of red wine. I mean I would of been rude not too lol!

Trying again to get back on it today which is proving difficult as my bank has been throughly raided by the DD over half term and its not pay day till Friday so I'm penny pinching right now but I have lots of left over Sunday dinner from yesterday so were having bubble and squeak for tea. Lots of veg.
You can do this Beige! That fact you're still here shows how committed you really are.

BeigeFoodLover · 25/02/2020 18:24

We can do this @Ginnyrellas ! How are the hormones?

Feeling positive going into day 2... just wish gin was free 🤣

Ginnyrellas · 25/02/2020 19:37

I’m feeling much better thanks @Beige I’m lucky im only on for 4 days so I’m back on track now.
I wish gin was free but it’s probably for the best it isn’t right? Lol

currently googling The Gin diet Grin

BeigeFoodLover · 25/02/2020 20:25

🤣🤣 possibly wouldn’t do me any good @ginnyrellas 🤣🤣

HopeYouStepOnALego · 26/02/2020 15:53

I had only 1lb loss this week so was a bit disappointed as was hoping for more. Today I’m at a business trade show thing and came starlight from the office without lunch and as you can imagine nothing healthy here so had a panini. Oh and I stuffed a few pancakes last night 🙁

BeigeFoodLover · 26/02/2020 19:04

Hi @HopeYouStepOnALego I'm sorry you're disappointed, but still a huge well done for losing 1lb, I know it doesn't seem loss (especially when everyone seems to be losing 5lbs etc) but still in the right direction.

I was at a funeral today, and was actually quite impressed with my restraint on the beige buffet. However, I have bought myself a mini bottle of wine to congratulate myself with Blush

MySlimmingJourney · 27/02/2020 12:47
