Here we go again :( I can never stick to it. But having the support does tend to help. If anyone would like to start in June then please climb aboard. I need to lose approx 2 stone maybe less.

Thanks Mercedes, a stone would be a great achievement so good luck.

Well done 365, hope i do as well tonight, I have been following the plan Halo

Meralia · 07/06/2018 09:52

Hey all. Can I join?

I was due to have weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) next week, but cancelled it yesterday as I was having serious doubts about it.

Back on the SW train, it’s worked for me previously (and I’ve tried every diet under the sun). I’ve about 5 stone to lose to get me to 10 stone. I’m 5’4” so will put me quite happily in the normal bmi range. I also have an 11 month old, who’s just started crawling this week, so hoping the extra activity of running about after him will help with body magic! Lol

I’m going to be using my syns for healthy fats this time round (I don’t have a sweet tooth, my weakness is more savoury items, such as: pork pies, sausage rolls, pizza etc...) so am hoping to get some good balanced meals in there.

I’ve also switched from white carbs to wholewheat. I like SW as it means my family can eat the same foods, without having to plan several different meals for everyone.

Yesterday I had

Lunch: 2 x slices whole meal bread with mashed avocado (9syns)
Apple

Dinner: noodles with chicken, bean sprouts, peppers and onions
Muller light
Banana

Supper: 2 skinless chicken drumsticks, pickled onions and babybel lights.

Weighed in with a 2lb loss, pretty pleased with that as it's Star week, and I have hypothyroidism so can sometimes struggle with a sluggish metabolism.
I cut right down on starchy carbs (potatoes and rice) and i am not sure if that worked in my favour or not, but i really missed a jacket potato so I am going to not be so strict next week.

Good luck to anyone else weighing in Smile

Well I don't need to lose much weight, but I definitely need to find a way to stop this circle of going back and forward, and always present yo-yo effect. I also need to get my immune system back in order. For me, combination of diet according to your blood type - and I am 0+ - and paleo diet really worked great few years ago, but it becomes time consuming in one moment and I stopped and let in all the junk food and diary, than I tried some other things to get back to 'old me' faster and I am having more and more problems. Somehow I know what is good for me, but I lose motivation every time faster and faster... by some miserable excuses... What does keep you motivated? Do you have some personal trainer, nutritionist, or someone to control you? Or you are able to do it all by yourself? Because I was always capable to do it by myself( through a lot of reading, watching videos. etc - gathering information and listening my body mostly)... but in the last two years I am feeling really lost and self destructive with endless circle of diving in junk food and than in crash diets... I am desperately craving for some changes, so I am always searching for new diets .. Sad Recently I hear for some new american dieting program one3one method ... I am not even sure that I understand how it works, and I am little bit skeptical. But it seems like you get a lot of active support. Does anyone tried it? Any experience? Or recommendation on something else?

Going to a meeting (ww or SW) where I pay for someone else to weigh me is what works for me. It's ridiculous but true for me. I would prefer to do it online but physically going and someone else weighing me is what makes the difference.

Withershins · 10/06/2018 19:03

Makes all the difference to me too Mercedes, if I didn't have to be accountable then I would not stick to the plan.

I have stuck to it all weekend, an afternoon looking for a dress has re-motivated me, no dress but a fabulous new Mulberry bag cos you are never too fat for a handbag Grin

Withershins · 13/06/2018 12:44

Still on plan and determined to keep going, especially as I have bought an expensive dress for an event on 19th July (hoping it will fit Blush).

Weigh in tomorrow, good luck to everyone else weighing in Smile

my baby is also 11 months and I've put on more weight since having him than I did when I was pregnant. I just can't seem to stop eating of a night time and I have zero motivation! x

mrst07 · 17/06/2018 09:56

Iv just started up again, we go abroad in November and I don't want to be mistaken for a whale on the beach 😂 how much weight loss is possible do people think from now until the end of November?

Kinakk · 18/06/2018 16:01

Hi all, would love to join this thread! In need of some major motivation and support! My baby is 10 months and I really need to kick this weight! Before getting pregnant with him I lost 7 stone on SW which was life changing! But now I feel back to square one and know the massive journey I have ahead of me again! Started last Monday and have managed 8lbs in my first week but without the buzz of going to group to celebrate I’m afraid I’ll fall off the wagon earlier! 😩

Kinakk · 18/06/2018 16:07

Hi mrst07 I reckon you could easily lose 3 stone by the end of November! When I lost before, my average worked out at around 2 pound a week with the lowest loss being half a pound!

Slimtimeagain · 25/06/2018 09:50

Hello everyone. I'm back - after going AWOL! I'm sorry I always end up doing this. I just can't seem to fully motivate myself. I would say I'm loosely following slimming world but not 100% and I think that's why I keep lacking motivation because I'm putting too much pressure on myself.
So when I started this thread I was 11 stone 5. My normal weight recently before that had been about 11 stone.
I weighed myself today and I'm 11 stone 1 and 3 quarters. So I'm fairly happy. I want to aim for between 1-2 pounds a week. I started running last week. I did 3 runs and will aim for 3 a week. I'm actually now planning my week around my runs to make sure I fit in 3. I'm feeling a lot better in myself. Slightly less bloated and generally more motivated. I did so much walking and moving about this weekend. Let's keep motivating each other. Mondays are my weigh.
How's everyone doing?

Morning all!
Weighed in this morning with a 2.5lb loss! Delighted with myself as it was a star week and I was at the beach with my baby boy for the weekend! Not easy with ice cream and chips being eaten all around me but stayed strong and stuffed myself with strawberries and steak! Still on my excercise bike for 45 mins a day which I’m really proud of as my husband told me buying it would be a waste of money! Hope to keep this motivation up till my brothers wedding in Aug and then till Christmas! If I could lose 4.5 stone by then I’d be delighted! Hope everyone else is doing well! Any tips for hot weather dinners would be appreciated! Smile

ALittleBitConfused1 · 04/07/2018 15:22

Afternopn all. Can i hop on? Well done Kinakk, bet saying no to all that ice cream was well worth it today.
I want to loose 3 stone, im going away for NYE and am determined to get on that plane a size 10 (currently a size 16) I started 2 weeks ago and weigh in for me is a Saturday.
I flexi syn over the weekend so i can have a drink (im single so drink and eat out a bit at weekends). Im strict about counting each syn though. Then whatever is left out of my weekly 70 i use over the remaining weekdays.
I lost 4lb the first week and was delighted to loose 3 and get my half a stone on the 2nd weigh in. I do use the books but dont go to the classes.
So today im off work but didnt have time for breakie, i had a banana. Then walked for 20 mins.
LUNCH was lean ham slices, boiled eggs and gherkins.
I had a nectriene and some grapes after.
Dinner will be hunters chicken with sw chips and a huge salad. Ill do extra chicken and salad and box that up for lunch at work tom.
I willl use my healthy a in cheese for dinner but not sure how i will get my b option in today (would it be greedy to have 2 hifi bars with a cuppa in front of love islamd tonight lol)

Kinakk · 04/07/2018 16:35

Welcome ALittleBitConfused1! Sounds like your plan is really working for you and it’s great you can still go out and enjoy yourself too! Was glad I stayed good because I lost another 3.5 this week giving me a stone in 3 weeks! I too am a size 16 hoping to fit back into my pre pregnancy size 10 jeans and Zara clothes!! Oh the days of being able to shop in Zara! I’ve been away every weekend but was lucky enough to have cooking facilities so prepared burgers and marinated chicken in advance! It’s so hard when everyone around you is tucking into chips but I sat there and visualised how good it’s gonna feel being slim again! I really think it’s all in the mind!

ALittleBitConfused1 · 04/07/2018 17:10

Thanks kinakk, sounds like youll be back in those size 10s in no time.
I think thats the key isnt it, preparation and planning. Its tricky sometimes but then i think thats the case with any healthy diet, removing the oppotunity to make bad choices.
Im hoping i can stick to it. Tbh its ok im not struggling too much. Like you i just keep thinking how good it will feel to go and buy a pair of size 10 skinny white jeans . Im so dont with buying clothes simply to hide my my chinese takeaway and wine bumps Grin

Kinakk · 04/07/2018 19:24

Ah wine and Chinese food!! My biggest downfall! Thank god for syns and fake away recipes!!
