Here we go again :( I can never stick to it. But having the support does tend to help. If anyone would like to start in June then please climb aboard. I need to lose approx 2 stone maybe less.

I meant to say I feel like it probably isn't syn free!

I believe all tinned fruit is synned Slim - happy to be corrected tho if anyone knows differently.

I weighed in as 11 stone 7.5 this morning. I'm only 5'2 so pretty out of proportion Blush

So far have had:
B - coffee and fruit
L - chicken salad w 2 tbsp light salad cream (2).

Dinner will be WW pizza, chips and salad (hxa & hxb).

Hope everyone is having a good on plan day!

LizzieSwarf · 02/06/2018 09:19

Totally new to Mumsnet as a member. This is my first reply to anything. Desperate for a SW support network so...can I join in on this too? Xxx

Cyclingthissummer · 02/06/2018 09:25

I’d like to join to! I’ve just weighed for the first time in a while and have two stone to shift. That’s the two stone I’ve put back on in the last year after losing it! I’m not great on the food planning front and have to find a way to stop eating my way though a stressful, busy job/life. Food is definitely my crutch. Never joined any kind of thread or group so maybe it’s the peer support that will help this time. X

Withershins · 02/06/2018 13:28

Stuck to my plan yesterday, and had about 5 syns in sugar and milk.

Todays plan ( pretty much SP),
B: Melon - not really a breakfast person so i need to research something better than just fruit.
L: Bacon, poached eggs, mushrooms and vine on cherry tomatoes.
D: Chicken Katsu curry (SW) with cauliflower and coriander rice, strawberries. (HEXB for wholemeal roll to make bread crumbs).
HEXA: Skimmed milk.

Syns, probably a dark KitKat 5.5.

Hope everyone else has a good day Smile .

ElfrideSwancourt · 02/06/2018 13:47

Hello can I join in too please? I'm doing SW online and also meeting a friend weekly to do SW-at home. It's going well so far I've lost almost 2 stone but more support would be great!
I have about another 6 st to lose - also am going to a wedding in 5 weeks and have a gorgeous dress but it's too tight on the arms so I'm only having syns as part of a meal, no chocolate and have upped my exercise, including a daily arm workout. I really want to fit into it!

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 02/06/2018 14:01

Place marking.

I went to my first meeting last week. I have been struggling with properly keeping track, it seems a bit more complicated and too many bits of paper than it needs to be but overall I think I am doing ok though I guess we'll see on Monday. I have 5st 11lb to lose to get to 9st.

Back to read the thread later.

ElfrideSwancourt · 02/06/2018 14:21

@MercedesDeMonteChristo the SW journals are really good- only a fiver for 3 months of food diary and lots of other bits. Definitely worth it

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 02/06/2018 16:33

Thanks Elfride will check that out. I have signed up until 18 August - which must be the 12 week plan so hoping I can keep the momentum going. I am about to hit a busy period starting a new job, essay deadline in summer and final thesis at the same time as a massive work conference and snacking is what gets me through. Being prepared is clearly key and I have previously lost 3stone to get back to my target years ago with WW so I should be able to do this.

I am reluctant to replace sugar with sweetner so instead am working on trying to have 1 cup of coffee per day and trimming the spoon down each time.

Withershins · 03/06/2018 15:44

Day 3, yesterday was as planned, which seems to work better for me than just making it up on the fly. I have decided not to force myself to eat breakfast and just have it when I am genuinely hungry.

Todays plan,
B: Just tea to drink.
L: Oxo roast potatoes (0.5 syns for the Sizzola rapeseed oil spray as I don't use Frylite), swede and carrot mash, cabbage and sliced beef in gravy (0.5 syns).
D: Salmon salad, with Dark Rye Ryvitas and Light Philadelphia HEXA & B.
Possibly some strawberries and a brownie fibre one (4 syns) tonight.

Got in some body magic this morning with 2 hours geocaching/walking in the woods with the foster kids Smile

Hope everyone else has a great day.

Needmorehands · 03/06/2018 18:14

So yesterday I weighed in and gained 1.5lbs, time to stop coasting and eat like I intend to lose weight! The tiredness of having a newborn has hit and I know I've been eating anything sugary all week so its not a surprise. And now DS2s birthday party is done with and the cake nearly eaten it seems a very neat time to start eating better as the kids go back to school tomorrow :)
Now to figure out how to eat healthily and still be able to get the kids to all their clubs on time

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 03/06/2018 21:50

I have lost track of tracking but my choices have definitely been better so hoping I still lose tomorrow as it is different to normal and committed to proper planning and doing online shopping tomorrow night.

The overnight oats thing has been great though I think I will have to alternate days as I am not a dairy fan really but I have enjoyed them and have bought some pots and ice packs so that DH and I can take them to work.

Slimtimeagain · 04/06/2018 08:03

Right I'm back. Welcome all new people 😊 I've been terrible so basically didn't start. Fresh today though.
I've had 1 wheetabix with skimmed milk and half a banana for breakfast with a tea. Plan is snacks : mango and banana.
Lunch- cheese leek and ham pasta n sauce. (I think this is 1syn) will add some tomatoes to the side.
Dinner - not sure yet
I have some hula hoop puffs too which I might save for the return of love island 😂

Okay so just weighed myself... the last time I weighed myself was approx 4 weeks ago and I was 11stone 1... And was pretty much that weight for a while before.
I've just weighed myself and I'm 11 stone 5 1/4 :( :(
Very sad about it and it's really given me a kick!

Tatiebee · 04/06/2018 09:55

I'd like to join too please? I have 4-5 stone to lose but I'd ideally like to have lost 2-3 stone of that before my holiday in October. I'd like to feel comfortable in swimwear and less self conscious when playing with the kids on the beach.

I'm starting today and doing the plan myself from home. I've been given the books and having a big shop of SW foods being delivered today. I'm actually looking forward to trying some.new recipes. Good luck everyone!

Annietyu · 05/06/2018 18:24

Hi id like to join this tread also!
I jooned slimmong world yesterday, hopong to lose 2 stone!im at my heaviest ive been for quite a while a d have been comfert eating alot recently!I just need the boost to start eating a little better and feeling alot better about myself!
Ive tried the 5:2 diet which i found incrediably hard,I did lose a stone and felt fab!!But this alll went straight back on!Fingers crossed this time!!Wink

NapoleonsNose · 05/06/2018 19:55

Can I join too?

I have lost on SW before, nearly 4 stone in fact, but a combination of studying, new sedentary job and laziness has resulted in all that, and a few pounds more, going back on.

I rejoined 4 weeks ago and have lost 5lbs. It's much slower now I'm in my 40s. Last time I did it I could lose that in a week or so. It's a bit disheartening, but I'm in for the long haul. Going on holiday for the first time sans kids at the end of September, so I'd love to have lost at least 2 stone by then.

Today I've had:
B: HEB bran flakes, strawberries and almond milk (1/2 HEA)
L: Quinoa, squash, roasted onion and tomato salad with Danish Blue (1/2 HEA) homemade flat bread (3 syns)
S: Flat peach and a banana
D: Aldi chicken chipolatas (2), red onion, mushrooms and tender stem broccoli.

Might have an Aldi rice cakey chocolate bar later for 4.5 syns

Withershins · 05/06/2018 20:57

I am still on plan and feeling good with what I am eating. I am having a lot of salad which i prefer to vegetables, and I am keeping the starchy carbs to a minimum. Keeping my syns for a Fibre one cake, or a couple pf squares of Green & Blacks dark, so far a max of 8 syns a day.

Hope everyone else is feeling happy, and if not it's that time of year when you can get Peonies in the supermarket, beautiful flowers make everything better Flowers

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 05/06/2018 23:13

Well I weighed in yesterday and lost 4.5lbs so now 14st 6.5 (at 5ft 2). Though this is as much about reaching my feet, not being out of breath etc too.

I was pleased with the loss because I know I lost sight of the plan last week. This week I am trying to be better at planning, just went through my free cook book because I signed up for 12 weeks and planned some meals and did an online shop.

I have also made my oats for breakfast and pasta, chilli, spinach and tomato for lunch - I have grated some Parmesan to finish when I eat it but haven't used anywhere near the 30g allowance. If I have one coffee tomorrow hopefully that will make up my HEXA as I don't have much.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 05/06/2018 23:14

p.s. Do your leaders make you do group work and announce your loss to the group and clap and things? This has put me off ataying next week.

Withershins · 06/06/2018 08:09

Well done Mercedes that is a really good loss, you are pretty much my weight/height double, my first weigh in tomorrow and i started at 14st 9.5 so i would be glad to lose that amount.

The leaders do "image therapy" after weigh-in, which can include a little chat about foods and recipes etc, then go around and announce individuals losses, I have never heard one give an amount for a gain, it is usually skirted over. I always stay for this as you get some good tips/advice and I find it motivates me to stay on track. Don't let it put you off, everybody is in the same boat and nobody will judge you Smile

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 06/06/2018 18:53

Oh good luck Withershins.

I am having a good week so far. After weigh in on Monday I treated myself to my dads cooking that he had left for me and a coffee and biscuits but from Tues morning on it.

If by following much more this week I can get to 13st so a 6.5 lb loss I will be delighted. Essentially if I can lose a stone in the first month then I will be happy.

Atetoomanyjaffacakes · 06/06/2018 20:48

I went to join tonight, and it was shut. No explanation why. It's the only group in my area so hopefully it will be on next week.

Youcandothis365 · 06/06/2018 21:02

First weigh in tonight and I'm 4.5lbs down ! I'm a happy bunny with that Grin

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 06/06/2018 21:46

Ah Jaffa, that's rubbish. I joined on bank holiday and text before I went.

365 - great stuff!!! We are the 4.5 club
