HEXA is my healthy extra A choice. So half of all of that cheese on my dinner.

I'm having a hungry day today. Trying to hold out for lunch but I'm struggling!

Boatsnack · 06/07/2017 13:01

HEXA is your dairy Allowance trills I pretty much always use mine on almond milk because I have a coffee addiction but it can be used for low fat cheese too.

ClashCityRocker · 06/07/2017 18:35

Thanks lemony had some eggs for lunch.

WI in half an hour.... Why oh why do I always feel fat on Wi days?

ALemonyPea · 06/07/2017 20:39

You'll get that off easily Groovster.

I always have cheese for my HEA, I don't like milk. Might have it once in a blue moon for porridge.

How much did you all lose on your first week? It's my 1st weigh in on Monday, so just wondering Smile

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/07/2017 23:04

I lost 5lb the first week, which was a genuine shock as I didn't really get going with the plan for the first few days.

Groovee · 07/07/2017 05:07

I lost 3lb in my first week.

FaithAgain · 07/07/2017 05:55

I lost 5lb my first week. Next biggest weight loss was 3.5lb.

coralush · 07/07/2017 06:01

Hello all, I'd love to join. I have a holiday in 6 weeks and would like to lose 10lb. (I've done it before on SW).

ALemonyPea · 07/07/2017 06:48

Welcome Coralush, good luck.

I lost 7lb my first week.

Wow that's impressive Alemony! I've just tried some clothes in my wardrobe on and they're so tight and uncomfortable - today is the start of something new!

FoofFighter · 07/07/2017 07:38

5lbs in my first week.

Had a wee blip last night, had a weird nausea/stomach ache that left me only able to face beige foods (bread) I synned two slices of wholemeal and the spread, didn't have speed with tea, felt that was ok as a one off - then went to stuff in 2 more seeded bread rolls with spread and a bit of jam grr. It helped though.

Anyway back to normal this morning:

B: apple, apricot, 20g half hexb oats
L: going swimming with lo then probably lunch at the cafe, so usual cafe lunch of baked potato, beans and salad
T: to be decided, probably curry.

LavenderRainbows · 07/07/2017 08:17

I lost 7lb in my first week which gave me the boost to continue .never lost that amount again in a week but had a couple of 4''s and 5's

ALemonyPea · 07/07/2017 08:35

The odd blip won't harm you Foof, ou sunned it, its all good.

Hi all, I feel like I've not stopped this week! Last week of mat leave, going to a wedding on Saturday which I'm trying to knit a bride and groom for, so every spare minute is going on getting that done. Also I need to make a pudding for the wedding. I'm doing extra music practises for a concert, it's all happening at once here!

I'm having to be careful as after I had a loss this week after three nights out I'm trying not to get too cocky and think I can have what I like and still lose weight! I've stuck to plan so far, should be fine today as going for a picnic so can stick to salad. Saturday will be off plan with the wedding, but other than that should be fine. Not expecting a loss this week though.

Back at work Monday, planning to make overnight oats and salad the night before for breakfast and lunch, see how I get on with that. Once a week we have an early meeting so I'll take alpen bars on that day I think. I'll be fine with that but it's a lot of prep I suppose.

What do people have for a no prep lunch, other than the dreaded mug shots?!! Grin

PipnJo · 07/07/2017 11:12

Home from work with a poorly child, seeking motivation not to snack!

Weigh in tomorrow and the past 2 weeks i was down 1/2lb ,before that i was up and down all over the place. Hoping for at least 1lb off tomorrow as i've totally stuck to it, even after weigh in last Saturday i didn't have a little splurge and go over syns (which i normally do).

Last week i was 11 stone 13.5lb and my club 10 is 11 stone 13lb. I haven't been within 11 stone for as long as i can remember, even pre-children.

Lunch i've planned slimming world ready meal, and for tea tonight egg and ham salad.

PipnJo · 07/07/2017 11:14

When i say not to snack..i mean on crisps and biscuits! My shopping delivery is tomorrow so i'm limited on 'my' snacks!

NachoAddict · 07/07/2017 12:01

Hiya all, not been on for a few days! Nice to see so many new faces and lots of losses.

huge congrats Lavender on 5st!!

I am still plugging away on plan. Had two days at the start of the week where I lost it and splurged... one day was 4 snack a jacks and the other was 8 low fat digestives and a kit kat Grin but then shark week turned up so at least I know why. I usually have a hungry week the week before so I am glad it was contained in two days!

Made Jamaican chicken last night and it was delicious! one syn per serving. Not sure what to make tonight, Friday is either take away or freezer tea in our house as all the lovely fresh shopping comes on Saturdays. Might be mushroom omelette or jacket sweet potato

FoofFighter · 07/07/2017 13:06

It appears last night's blip has activated my binge switch Sad

I'm limiting it by the fact I only have good stuff in the house, but just went to Aldi for a few bits and things just flew into my basket. I know if I don't ride it out, it'll be far worse, maybe anyone who suffers binging episodes might understand.
I took a moment to think and have made some better choices, and by limiting what I bought, I doubt I'll go down my usual route of ordering huge amounts of takeaway, so I bought a pizza, figured it's going to be at least 1.4 of the cals of a takeaway one. So although am struggling today I am happier that I am being mindful still a little bit anyway.

Sad
NachoAddict · 07/07/2017 13:34

Foof we all slip sometimes and you are doing damage limitation so don't beat yourself up. it could be som much worse as you say. We are human and that makes it hard to stick 100% to something all the time.

ALemonyPea · 07/07/2017 16:19

I totally understand the need to binge, and the logic of getting it out your system. Get it out, start afresh tomorrow.

OP posts:
FoofFighter · 07/07/2017 16:54

I only hope that the need is gone by then, my last binging behaviour lasted weeks :( that was at the beginning of this year. I wish SW (and other groups) could help you access counselling etc for this kind of eating disorder. If I had the money I'd go private, I can imagine my GP laughing me out of the room if I asked for help. They just don't understand it and assume it's being a greedy git and to just go and lose weight yu'll be fine, it's nothing like that at all.

ALemonyPea · 07/07/2017 18:03

I've tried several times to try describe to DH he binge eating makes me feel better, and how I can't control it once I start, he just doesn't get it. He eats only when he's hungry and stops when he is full. I really wish I could be like that.

I wish there was a support group for emotional eaters. I've managed to keep it under control (mostly) during the 14 months I've been on SW, and Mam aged to pull it back when I have had an episode, but it's bloody hard, and I end up really angry and yell at everyone until it's out of my system. Not great. It's always at the back of my mind that I'm going to give in.

The only way that I can suggest might help, is to take it one meal at a time from tomorrow. Do br akfast, then great! Then lunch, even better, once tea is over, well done you've managed a day!

Don't give up, you can do it.

OP posts:
FaithAgain · 07/07/2017 18:27

Foof I know that feeling all too well. I'll do it if I've had a gain. I'll do it if I've had a good loss and feel I don't deserve it. I have recommended Brain over binge book may times because it's really helped me to challenge that behaviour. I didn't have such a binge/purge cycle as to be bulimic as such but the binge habit vs long term dieting and deprivation took its toll. I have come a long way since I read that book.

OwlinaTree · 07/07/2017 19:32

Don't know if this is useful to you overeaters anonymous
