Wow Groovee that looks awesome. Hope you enjoyed it

Greenteandchives · 28/06/2017 13:28

Hello ladies, I am back from my holiday now and have really tried to stay on track with my weight loss. It wasn't too bad using the buffet for breakfast and lunch, as there was plenty of choice. It was the evenings that were more of a problem. I left the bread basket alone and didn't have any desserts at all; (all syns went on wine). I walked about 10 miles a day. I haven't weighed in, and honestly have no idea whether I have gained or not, but am safely back on plan now. I actually felt much better eating the way I did on holiday rather than having heavier meals.
I took a favourite pair of trousers away without trying them on before. When I put them on on holiday they were far too big. A bittersweet moment!
Well done to all on weight losses and targets. Groovee your food pics on instagram are an inspiration.

OwlinaTree · 28/06/2017 14:17

Sounds like a good holiday green! I actually found it OK on holiday, as I could have the third speed from the salad bar on the plate first then I had whatever else with it, plus there was loads of fruit for dessert. I didn't hold back on the booze though!

Groovee · 28/06/2017 14:30

Sounds great Green. I hope I can do as well next week x

LavenderRainbows · 28/06/2017 14:31

Well, I'm delighted to say I lost 2lb so I need half a pound more to get my 5 stone certificate and 7.5lb to target.
Just been trying on some dresses for my holiday. Size 14 too bigGrin I can't believe it, last summer I was wearing 20/22
Might celebrate with some chocolate later!!

FoofFighter · 28/06/2017 14:39

I somehow missed Owlina's post last night, well done!! Flowers

WOw that's some bacon mountain there Groovee!

WI this morning -4lbs, got my stone award and slimmer of the week, and have worked out only another 3.5lbs to go to my next award :D

Unfortunately still not feeling well, so not able to enjoy my success really today. I didn't eat breakfast, just forced myself to have a mugshit that was in the SOW basket (vinegary vomit with noodles that are like volcanic lava when you inevitably get one down your chin owwww!!)

Liver and onions in gravy planned for dinner tonight, but if not wanting anything I will just grab some toast I think, no point forcing it down.

LattesAndPilates · 28/06/2017 15:29

Hi Everyone! Newbie here...I hope you don't mind me joining in...I've read this entire thread (and the previous support one) and gained confidence to speak by how positive and supportive you all are. Congrats to everyone on your losses, I'm in awe of your successes!

I have about 3st to lose and am going to my first SW meeting tomorrow - I did SW many years ago when I was at Uni and was quite successful although I put the weight back on eventually. Since then I've tried WW, 5:2 and clean eating. I got to a weight I was happy with and stayed there for about a year but then moved back nearer home and my social life took off and lets just say its hard to do 'clean eating' when drinking and socialising every weekend Blush Gin Wine shock horror I gradually regained all the weight I'd lost and so here I am back at SW again...

I'm hoping this forum and the SW meetings will keep me accountable and see me through to my goal Smile

I'm not starting at the best time - I have meals out planned tomorrow and Friday evening, a party on Saturday and then 3 weekends away in July...not to mention 2 evening work events dotted in too!! Hmm

So it's going to be a challenge, but I've realised that it will never be a good time to start and so I can't continue to put this off or I'm going to continue to spiral Confused

sazzie1975 · 28/06/2017 15:46

Hi Lattes, you are so right, there is never a good time and always an event that your going to start after etc. Good luck with your journey. We are all in it together x

sazzie1975 · 28/06/2017 15:47

Well done Foo on a fab loss ans SOTW. Great stuff

Groovester · 28/06/2017 15:59

Welcome latte - we are a nice bunch here for sure.
groovee you are looking fab. Your body has shrunk and your smile has grown!
owl my apologies, I missed your post too. Well done!
Well done also to my twin lavender and foof too - great losses!
Still off plan here but it's a planned off plan. Just taking a break. Will get back to it at the weekend. Had a work lunch today and my boss gave us all prosecco and chocolates as an end of term treat. That's me on holiday now for 6 weeks. There's some joy in teaching at times Grin

Groovester · 28/06/2017 16:02

Alas I will never have a thigh gap but I have a ring gap these days...

Groovee · 28/06/2017 16:11

Well done Foof. Hope you feel better soon.

Lavender amazing 5st. That is one journey and I'm awe of you and Lemony. I have had a few holiday clothes become too big in the last few weeks too 🙈.

Welcome Latte, this is a great thread and some fab ladies to help when we have questions x

Groovee · 28/06/2017 16:11

Aww Groovester that's a fab gap to have x

latedecember1963 · 28/06/2017 16:21

What a week for losses! Congratulations, Groovee and Owlina 🎉 and others.
A work colleague brought in birthday chocolate and cakes today and I resisted. I am not having another STS next Monday!

LavenderRainbows · 28/06/2017 17:39

Welcome latte give us a shout if you get stuck. We are a friendly bunch Smile

Groovee · 28/06/2017 18:02

Well done Late x

LattesAndPilates · 28/06/2017 18:14

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome Smile

I have to admit I've massively overindulged today knowing that I'm starting tomorrow - hoping to get it out of my system so I can be as good as gold from tomorrow Halo

Love the ring gap photo Groovester - it must be so motivating to see changes like that!

Late well done for resisting, it'll be worth it when you step on the scales!

ALemonyPea · 28/06/2017 19:56

Well done losers. A good week for everyone with all these awards being dished out.

I've been completely off plan since I got weighed yesterday, need to rein it in. Tomorrow will be fine, just need to get my head out of the celebration cloud. Today started off fine, then someone gave me a box of chocolates to congratulate me. Who even does that?! Sabotage!

Well done owlina
Groovee you look amazing!! About 10 years younger.
Welcome latte

I gained half this morningAngry in fairness I'm just starting my period, ate a heavy meal the night before and hadn't had a poo. It bugger off next week though.

If you try one new thing this week let it be these yogurts from Aldi, sweet Jesus they are good they have sauce in and are 1.5syns but well worth it. They do passion fruit, blueberry and cherry.

Greenteandchives · 28/06/2017 20:09

Welcome Lattes you won't regret joining SW. I knew I needed the support of a group and weekly weigh in. It has worked for me and has made such a difference.

Groovee · 28/06/2017 20:46

Oh girls, I let Dd dye my hair! I was freaking as my best friend helped me dye my hair and one side was bright mahogany and the other was my natural brown. 🙈😩

It's turned out well. So many people say I look even younger. What do you think?

Groovee · 28/06/2017 20:47

Och Lemony! Chocolates! One of our members is a florist and brings flowers for the SOW basket which I think is lovely x

Groovee · 28/06/2017 20:48

I like the Lidl skyr yoghurts... how do you pronounce skyr though as the tv advert for the arla ones seems to say ski

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 28/06/2017 21:29

Groovee wow what a difference.

I've struggled this week, found myself picking at things like my daughter's Smarties, chocolate buttons and cookies, I've synned it but just worried I've messed this week up.

I've tried the aldi skyr yogurts before I started sw and didn't like them, dh loves them though.

And I've just remembered I've eaten a load of frazzles which I haven't recorded 🙁

BasinHaircut · 28/06/2017 22:11

Just creeping back in after holiday....

Only got back this afternoon and after a week all inclusive and a takeaway just now to round it off I have no idea what damage I've done! But we had a great time (except when DS was showing off) so whatever it is it'll be worth it.

I've had a skim through and well done to everyone this past week especially lemony reaching target!
