Oh PA feels so unfair when you don't expect it. Write down everything all week.

Well done Boat and I am saving that chart to my phone!

LavenderRainbows · 21/06/2017 10:45

Well I lost 1.5lb so managed to claw back to 1lb gain from last time. Happy with that.

I bought some French fancies and some of those Thornton Bites. They are only 3 syns. Not very big but very nice!!

LavenderRainbows · 21/06/2017 10:48

Here you go; half price in Tesco at the moment. 3 syns per biteGrin

I can't buy stuff like that because I would never stop at the one bite.... They look delicious though.

I have got a feast waiting for me in the freezer though. 13.5 Syns but I don't want to miss out, someone brought them into the office.

Boatsnack · 21/06/2017 12:23

Me either nacho I'd end up eating the whole packet 😁

susurration · 21/06/2017 12:49

What are you all eating in the hot weather? I love salad, but eating it at Lunch and Dinner seems a bit excessive. I also really do not want to be cooking and eating lots of hot food either, I completely lose the will to eat things like curries, chilli, stew etc in this weather.

For breakfast I had weetabix with fruit and cold milk, for lunch probably a salad. Tonight I'm going to make a cold pasta with pesto and bacon but what else can I do this week so I don't over do the salad and get sick of it?

NachoAddict · 21/06/2017 12:55

I am eating a lot of fish and stir fry.

ALemonyPea · 21/06/2017 14:41

You could do a cold salmon noodle type thing? Use soy and oyster sauce through your noodles when still hot, and toss through been sprouts, peppers, cooked mushrooms, sweetcorn and cooked salmon.

Or crustless quiche? You can pack that full of veg, bacon, serve with beans

Last night we had pork and pepper skewers with wedges and side salad

Tonight having sausages, chips, tomatoes and mushrooms

We're having a BBQ tonight, lean meat, salad and small amounts of bread. One of the SW rules that I'm prepared to disregard from time to time is not having bread products as the carb part of your meal, so long as it's limited I really don't think it's much worse than pasta or potatoes.

Groovee · 21/06/2017 16:56

Bought these today and put them through the calculator and they come out at 5 syns. Got the poppadoms that @ALemonyPea mentioned last week too x

I've got those, but the tomato ones, really nice and worth the syns. Are the cheese ones cheesey or spicy?

Off to Pizza Hut on Friday, (this week isn't going well food wise!!) But it would be rude to refuse!
What's my best bet to eat? Im guessing it's all quite high syn wise.....

ALemonyPea · 21/06/2017 18:13

You could get the flatbread pizza, they're relatively low in syns per slice, then the free salad bar as well, lots of speed.

Thanks lemony that looks my best bet.

Altho I don't deserve to go now as a packet of those bloody Thornton things fell in my mouth. Soooo good! why do I do it to myself

Groovee · 21/06/2017 19:37

@ALemonyPea they are more cheesy.

ALemonyPea · 21/06/2017 20:04

Haha Lavender, that is exactly why they're not allowed in this house.

LavenderRainbows · 21/06/2017 20:08

They've been sat on the side all day and I've not given them a thought. DH came in and opened them, had 2 & decided they were too sweet so I ate the rest. 24 syns wasted!Shock

NachoAddict · 21/06/2017 20:47

Lavender, I would have done exactly the same!

LavenderRainbows · 21/06/2017 21:06

I feel bad about it now but what's done is done!

FaithAgain · 21/06/2017 22:36

Lavender I did the same thing with Curly Wurly swirlies. Thought They're only two syns each, less than a big curly Wurly but no, I ate the whole pack in a day! Chalk it up to experience.

WI for me tonight. I maintained which is a miracle because I had a huge blowout on Friday when I went to the Guns n roses concert! Think I had about 110 syns! Blush Did a couple of SP days which I think helped. I'm still 1/2lb into target range although I'd like to be more firmly in it so aiming to lose next week.

Groovee · 21/06/2017 22:40

Well done Faith x

AW22 · 22/06/2017 01:40

It's my weigh day tomorrow and I'm sure I've gained this week. I've really struggled. Does anyone have any tips on how to avoid the chocolate tin? My sugar cravings have sent me way off track this week. TIA

LavenderRainbows · 22/06/2017 07:16

Don't look at me for advice AW22 I scoffed a whole packet of cakes last nightGrin

At the end of the day I'm afraid it comes down to sheer willpower.
But with me usually having some nice sweet fruit helps. Honeydew melon or mango are my go to saviours except last night when I was overcome by the thorntons fairy

ALemonyPea · 22/06/2017 07:44

Well done Faith on the maintain.

AW, it's really hard resisting sweet treats if that's what you want. You could put a plate of stuff out a day within your syns so you know you can eat off it without going over. Buy low syn ones, Mikado sticks are only 0.5 syns each, M&S mini meringues are 3 for 1 syn, Ferrero Rocher are 3.5 syns, Border butter sultana biscuits are 2.5 each. Lots of possibilities if you can manage to resist eating the lot. Or eat fruit when you're craving sweet stuff.

OP posts:
NachoAddict · 22/06/2017 08:14

I find yogurt and berries feels like a treat. With a meringue nest broken into it if yiur really desperate to add sweetness.

For me though just avoiding chocolate altogether works better than trying to limit myself once I start.
