Backinschool- yes it's definitely not just you. Thanks for the congrats I hope you have a great loss too. I have around 6st to lose so a long way to go but we will all still be here to help each other as it's not an overnight fix, lasting support is key I think for those like me that have a long journey.

Trinitybleu- I'm sure if you have a OH like mine that is very honest that it's very much great news he's seeing the difference already, keep up the great work Smile

First weigh in on Monday. I lost.... half a pound.

Honestly, I'm gutted! I stuck to plan and turned down so many nice things all week. The other people who joined at the same time as me lost upwards of 5lb each, one person lost 10lb!!! In one week!! It was so embarrassing. Half a pound :(

I'm really upset and feel like I will be fat forever! I showed my diary to the consultant and she looked quickly and said it looked ok but will look properly and call me in the week.

Gonna stick with it again this week but feeling fairly demotivated

backinschool · 09/09/2015 19:43

Oh no karaoke, that's rubbish. Well done for sticking with it though. The lady I sat next to this week only lost a lb in her first week but then lost 5lbs the second and 3lbs the third - I hope it's the same for you.

Are you making sure at least 1/3 of your plate is speed food (not all veg or fruit count as speed) and weighing your healthy extras? Do you eat bread as your healthy B choice - lots of people seem to find bread slows weight loss down so maybe worth trying to avoid it for a week and seeing if that helps? I don't know if it's true - just what the people in my group found.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good loss for you this week!

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 10/09/2015 14:05

Thanks. I got a text from consultant earlier saying she had looked over my diary and "if accurate" (!! She thinks I'm lying?!) it all looks fine. I usually se my B choice for porridge. I've been having all my syns most days so maybe I'm eating too many and should cut down to 5 rather than 15. Will see what next weigh in brings!!

backinschool · 10/09/2015 17:18

Fingers crossed its a good one this week Karaoke. I've been using around 4-8 syns most days with one day a week using 12-15 but this is only my second week so who knows if thats right. I'm sure she didn't think you were lying, maybe she just thought you forgot to write some things down if you were busy or underestimated portions??? Good luck.

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 10/09/2015 17:53

I usually have about 12 syns through out the day, I assumed that would be ok as the plan says up to 15 syns but maybe I've got that wrong and I am not supposed to have so many :( it all adds up doesn't it, I like to have dressing on my salad, a little honey in my porridge, a skinny cappuccino in Costa occasionally ;) I can't imagine only having 4 or 5 syns to be honest, I think I would feel too much like I am missing out. I guess that's the point of a diet though isn't it, you are supposed to be deprived.

Had a bad day today and really want a glass of wine :(

backinschool · 10/09/2015 18:29

You are meant to be able to have 15 and I'm sure someone who has been doing SW longer will be along to advise.

beamme · 10/09/2015 19:15

Keep going Karaoke I didn't have a great loss the first week, was 1.5lb. My consultant went through my plan and also said it looked fine, so she asked about my drinks. I'll be honest, I'm awful with drinks and have too much coffee and diet coke. She suggested drinking more water, which I did and lost 4.5lb the next week. I also try and throw in an SP day or 2 and that helps as well. I lost another 1.4lb this week and that was with a night out and far too many cocktails!

Hurray - 4lbs off this week which makes 9lbs in total. Very pleased with my half stone sticker and slimmer of the week certificate. I got a lovely basket of fruit and veg too so I've no excuses for not eating well this week.

Member147167 · 14/09/2015 21:31

Hi, can I join in please?

signed up last week but not told anybody (except hubby). I'm the serial "dieting makes you fat" person.
First time I joined WW I was 13 stone and nearly died at how heavy i was. Fast forward 20 years I weighed 25 stone and would have 1st tatted on my forehead if that was my current weight!

I managed to lose almost 7 stone through Lipotrim and three years ago was
18.5 stone. then I stopped the shakes to be more healthy, signed dup with a PT and started going to the gym.
Weight stayed off for ages and I was fitter than i'd ever been.
BUT I didn't lose any more and then life gets busy, yu go to the gym less and the weight gradually creeps back on.

I decided to grasp the bull by the horns. I weighed in at 21st 1lb So at least I took action before it all came back on!

Took a couple of days to get fully not plan so I'm delighted with 6.5lb off this week.

Thanks for reading and I hope to find support, company and idea here

ShabbyNat · 15/09/2015 21:03

This weight WILL come off however long it takes meGrin
it helps that I know that there are people out there, like you lot, that offer encouragement & support that are in exactly the same boat as me!!
KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth hope you are doing ok & the weight is still coming off-even though it`s not as fast as you want it to!! Keep at itSmile
Sounds like very one else is going in the right direction tooGrinGrin

beamme · 18/09/2015 18:16

Hi everyone, hope we're all well in our first month Smile
I had an amazing week last week and lost 7.5lbs! I think it was down to extra exercise this week as I spent the week moving and unpacking boxes at work!
My new favourite thing is SW quiche. I've had it most days for lunch at work with a salad. Really filling and can change the taste by adding different veg and herbs.
So far my journey has been like this :
Week 1 : -1.5lb
Week 2 : -4.5lb
Week 3 : -1.5lb (half stone award)
Week 4 : -7.5lb (stone award)
Total : 1stone 1lb

week 2: -3lb

Total : 1 stone 2lb

MeltedMoments · 25/09/2015 14:05

Hi everyone. I posted earlier in the thread but haven't been back here with the MN app not working. Now it's been updated it makes things easier!

I weighed in this morning and lost another 2.5lb which makes 2st 1lb since I joined on 19th June.
I got my 2 stone award and my club 10 award this morning and I'm so happy!!

I went on holiday at the end of August and put on 7.5lb... Took me 2 weeks to lose that again and now I'm back to losing.

ShabbyNat · 25/09/2015 16:48

Hi MeltedMoments
That's great newsStarStar
That's like something I would doBlushGrin
Expecting to do that at Christmas to be honestBlush, but I am in for the long haul with so much weight to loseBlushGrin
CMy attitude now about life is that we need to be healthy but still enjoy life & have a blow-out every now & again like holidays & Christmas, then get back to being healthy & losing the weight, even though we`ve suffered a set-backBlushGrin

MeltedMoments · 25/09/2015 21:53

Shabbynat... That's how I see it too. I don't mind putting some on for holidays and treat days etc because that's how I will manage to sustain the weightloss. I wouldn't be able to cope with depriving myself.

I know I will put on over Christmas. Food is a huge part of Christmas for me.

MeltedMoments · 25/09/2015 21:55

And yeah, I've got lots still to lose... Another 6-8 stone after the 2 I've already lost.

Passion4chocolate · 25/09/2015 23:14
