I seem to be heading in the right direction this week, hope it shows on the scale on Tuesday Confused Not sure my cheeky vodka's tonight will help, but hey ho they're my only syns!

I have my first weigh in tomorrow. It's been surprisingly easy to stick to this week - hope it lasts!
I've started to get mouth ulcers, guessing that's because of all the fruit acids??

Just back from weigh in (didn't stay for group) but I did lose 4lbs! I'm really chuffed!

Had bread for breakfast yesterday and the whole day went to pot. I knew it was risky but we were away and the choice was limited. Lesson learnt.

I'm getting bored of salad .... Need ideas for exciting versions!

4 and a half off this week Smile so that's 6lb total, really pleased.
trinity I get fed up really easily so I try and have something different each day. For lunch I have either an omelette, bacon and egg sandwich, soup, salad or pasta left overs from tea.

I'm late to the party but can I join this thread? Started SW beginning of August but haven't been very good at sticking to it and I think a bit of peer motivation is required!
Had DS 4 months ago and have 3 stone to lose. Weigh in today eek!

I much prefer salad to veg especially in summer, so been having salad with every meal ... I need to mix up the lettuce / cucumber / sweet corn combo ...

Put some eggs on to boil 90 minutes ago ... Oppps

Hi Shabby and ppandj welcome to our little group.

I've had a little blip since weigh in this week and over done the syns on cocktails Blush Determined to get a pound off though, so following it the letter for the rest of the week and as low syn as possible. Any hints or tips on free food and snacks would be most appreciated!

Hi, I've just joined, it's my first weigh in tomorrow, I'm so nervous! I have stuck to plan although yesterday I made biscuits for the kids and ate one without thinking (old me is really fighting to get out) so I guessed it at 10 syns to be safe (it had icing on it too)

I had a magnum ice cream the other day, 12 syns, which I had planned for and factored into my otherwise syn free day. I really enjoyed it and felt quite smug eating it and thinking "I'm on a diet" lol

I have 2.5 stone to lose but my first target is 5lb which will take me from "obese" to simply "overweight" hmmm

Went out last night for a game of bowling with the kids & a couple of friends & their kids then a meal afterwards.
The meal was lovely but totally blew the dietShockSad
Even had pudding, something I rarely doSad
But other than that been good all week & back on track todaySmile
Am hoping to lose that 1/2 lb on Tuesday to make it to my first stoneSmile but a maintain will be just as good(almost!)

Hi all total SW newbie here, I have never used SW before and really think I should give it a try. My local group are Monday evenings I am unable to make it tomorrow so will be a week tomorrow before I get my official first weigh in. I know my current weight and I have 6 stone to lose. Should I wait before I start officially or should I try a week on plan best I can to get the hang of things slightly?
Any opinion would be helpful

Sorry that I haven't been on for ages. I've read all of your successes and am so pleased for you all!

I lost 2.5lbs this week, which isn't fantastic, but at least its going the right way.

Hi all, can I join you? I joined slimming world last week and have my first weigh in tomorrow. I'm really nervous although I have stuck to plan all week. I seem to have eaten loads so I can't help worrying I'll put weight on!

pinkpepperpod - 2.5lbs is great!
vintage - starting this week is probably the most sensible answer but I think I'd end up waiting for the weigh in and all the info from the first meeting. Good luck whatever you decide.
ShabbyNat - hope you get your first stone this week.

Well I lost 5lb which is great!

I still have a little voice in the back of my head saying that this won't work and I'll never be slim but I'm trying hard to ignore it. I'm hoping it will go away if I keep losing weight. Does anyone else ever feel this is or am I just very negative Blush.

Backinschool- that's fantastic well done. No ur certainly not negative for feeling that way ur just the same as me and many others I know. Do you have much to lose? The numbers will continue to add up and any negativity will be replaced with success and the strive to continue as ur closer to ur goal.
I decided to read my friends book throughly this week to give myself chance to get my head around it all, this way I can plan meals that I would be able to eat and get into the swing of it. I weighed myself with a health trainer Thursday afternoon and according to her scales today I have lose 4lb which is great for me. I'm almost wishing I had waited as by the time the week comes round it would of been a good loss as the first entry in my book for week 1 I imagine it will slow down next week once I've had my weigh in at sw but I'm ok with that I have a long way to go anyway lol

Thanks VintageChic27, its good to know that it's not only me that feels like this. I have 5 stone (or more) to lose so I have plenty of time to get over my scepticism. Congratulations on the 4lb lose, that's fantastic!
