Warm baby blankets/ sleeping bags

Hi,

My 3 month old has nearly outgrown her moses basket. I have been using 2.5 tog sleeping bag plus blankets to keep her warm at night (with sleepsuit/ babygrow, vest and cardi underneath).

We live in an old and very cold house. I will be moving her into her cot soon but the blankets I have are only just big enough and she will soon outgrow them. I know you are not supposed to use a quilt with a baby this young. When I get her up in the morning, her hands are ice cold and I am worried she isn't warm enough. I keep her hands covered in using her babygrow.

I have just ordered a 3.5 tog long sleeve sleeping bag. Is anyone able to give any advice or suggestions on the warmest (and safest) baby blankets and/ or sleeping bags they have found? What do you use to cover and keep your baby warm at night?

I guess it depends how cold her room will be really, just an aside babies are safest sleeping close to their parents until 6 months but I'm sure you know that already.

Our bedroom regularly drops to 14.5 at night so the smallest has a vest, sleepsuit and 3.5 tog sleeping bag with sleeves. It's a Slumbersac one but there are lots of other ones on Amazon or JoJo Mama Bebe. I saw a review t**hat the Jojo one couldn't be tumble dried and so got the Slumbersac one, maybe someone who has a JoJo one can help on this.

Could you get a little electric plug in heater for your/her room?
