We have a rubbish owl one that turns off after 10 mins or so and the batteries last about a week!

Is there a plug in one that stays on for 12 hours?

Myhummy or the sound sleeper app on an old kindle/ipad. Both work a treat!

Get an electric desk fan.

I bought the Avantek one off eBay, but with hindsight, wish I'd got an echo dot for around the same price.

Is the ‘rubbish owl’ a GroCompany one? We have the hedgehog version and it’s great. The left paw (as you look at it) has white noise that’s on a 10 min timer but is noise activated if baby murmurs or cries. Also we got some big capacity Ikea rechargeable batteries, and we have to change the batteries every 2 weeks or so.

We have this one. Plays all night and it's great. We've been using it for about 18 months now.

WhiteNoiseDeepSleep is a free app that's an 8hr cycle

We used an old phone and bought a rainfall track which was repeated all night. My children are old enough that this was a Nokia so needed charging like once a month

bookish83 · 11/04/2020 13:44

Alexa on loop 'play white noise on loop' best thing ever.

justaweeone · 11/04/2020 13:56

Electric fan works well

Laura1609 · 11/04/2020 19:13

Same as @Stringervest, it’s very good. Doesn’t make 10 month old DS sleep through though much to my dismay.

ForeverRedSkinhead · 11/04/2020 19:15

We have a dohm white noise machine. It's brilliant , it was about £40.

Cardboard33 · 11/04/2020 19:19

We're using an old phone and a free app called Baby Sleep. He's now one. We have waves at night and then hair dryer during the day, as when he was with us we needed a peaceful noise that didn't bother us from sleeping. Genuinely don't understand why anyone would pay money for something like this...

ScarfLadysBag · 11/04/2020 19:24

We also have the Avantek one. Zero complaints!used every night.
