16 week old has decided that sleeping in his Moses basket is overrated. He's woken up every time I've tried to put him down the past 2 nights regardless of whether it's 10, 20, 30, 60mins of being held beforehand. Naps seem to be going the same way today so, before I start hallucinating with lack of sleep, would I be crazy to start sleep training?
Background is that he's been ill with a cold for two weeks - in hospital overnight last week - but prior to that was doing a pretty good first long stretch at night of about 4-5hrs. He had his injections yesterday although it was the night before he started waking as soon as he was put down. He does have quite a few naps in the sling as I have an older toddler to drop at nursery and take to various activities - he's not such a fan of the pram. Lastly we're about to go to the US for 2 weeks so a 5hr time difference isn't going to help matters.
He doesn't self-settle - I rock him off every time - so part of me wonders whether waiting until we are back and he's cold free would be best. However, I don't want to encourage bad habits and co-sleeping isn't a great option as I move around a lot in my sleep!
Any advice or suggestions most welcome!
