Yoohooo! Over here!

The last thread was filling up so I've started us a sparkling new one.

The original thread was to support those of us with babies fitting the following criteria:

  1. Feeds frequently daytime
  2. Feeds frequently nighttime
  3. Needs to be constantly held
  4. Wont sleep alone
  5. Hates the car seat/pram
  6. Short naps

Some of our babies have grown out of some of those now, but we're still here to support each other through the sleepless nights and noisy car journeys and to offer hugs, chocolate and wine to anyone who's struggling.

So if that list sounds familiar then come and join us as we delight in our active, inquisitive, curious and restless babies or toddlers!

Hey everyone. Sorry I've not been around much (bloody work)

I trust you're all getting 12 hours sleep a night, that your children are eating everything you put in front of them, your partners are fully supporting you and everything is hunky dory Grin

It's a mixed bag here. We had a couple of horrendous nights, then an amazing seven and a half hour stretch of sleep last night. We finally managed to get some Ashtons and Parsons down DS last night so have now bought as many boxes as we can get our hands on in the hope that it is what made the difference!

Truth Ashton and Parsons is miracle stuff but I thought they'd stopped producing?? You could sell that on the MN black market Grin

We are paranoidly back to it the cot on her back, not going well!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 10/10/2012 23:11

I've been trying to get hold it for the last 14 months! Finally bought some on ebay for vastly inflated price & then found some in Boots today and bought all four packets

Morning, well afternoon for you two really, hope the DCs are feeling better joyful, raspberry hope pesky is, well, erm... Forget it here.

Our night was okish, went back to swaddling which she has always hated and it kind of worked, we got a 3 hour stretch then back to 1 hourly when she figured out how to get her arms free.

Softlysoftly · 11/10/2012 08:11

Not raspberry, hilde tireder than I thought!

That's not ridiculous it's a natural fear and it's the reason monkey is now swaddled and in her own bed with monitor (and why I'm up!), I just couldn't hack the fear.

I woke every time and shook her :(

Can't say much really other than you have to live your life and I'm sending you massive

Softlysoftly · 12/10/2012 03:43

Btw I looked up woombie from your post and I think I need one! This sheet swaddling malarkey is a pita. Are they good? Do they stop the startle reflex?

Softlysoftly · 12/10/2012 05:33

Neither of my children will go back to sleep. Argfhg

Thank you joyful the HV has already pointed out she's forward on her milestones and that I don't see it as she's so dinky! So maybe you are right.

Raspberry totally understand I find myself getti g angry then have to give myself a talking to Blush, it's hard to be this serene earth mother understanding their needs always. DH just annoys me when he says "yes but think how lovely she is" it just piles on the guilt when they are t really the ones dealing with it.

A friend said to me today they tried no to hold their DC2 too much as a baby as they'd get too used to it now they are lovely and settled. Yes because this is my fault Angry.
