Walked past Snow and Rock this morning and they have new season ski and board stuff !! Wish I had not of popped in !! Want everything in there !!

I was in TK Maxx at the weekend fondling some lovely Poivre Blanc jackets... 4 months to go!

I found Mammut jackets for £160 in my local TKMaxx. Still expensive but about £200 off full price!

Something will turn up on the job front, kinda works in my favour, long notice period, good pay out and they are paying for me to finish my Swim Teacher course in Jan, at least I have the mountains to look forward too !! :)

T'is only 4 months now till we go, and yesterday I bought a nice new pair of goggles coz DD2 has commandeered mine

We've just booked for the week before Christmas...so I need to start planning

• ski stuff needed
• get fit in 7 weeks
• buy Xmas presents as we won't be back until late Xmas eve
• persuade sister or sister in law to host Xmas lunch!
• pray for snow...we're going high but still.....

Me & DD2 are off to the Spanish Pyrenees for February 1/2 term. Must start getting my ski legs back, using the dry ski slope, first though

We're going at Easter for the first time. Will be interesting to see differences compared to mid-Feb!

We went at Easter this year, t'was lovely & warm but the slopes did get quite slushy by the afternoon. Was a bit like skiing through porridge and hard on the knees.

Top tip, ski on shadey pistes after lunch

lovetoski I love the south coast - I used to live in Pompey but met my DH and moved near london. I really miss the sea.... it's almost as good as snow. Almost.

Yes we are Cunty! I wanted a snow sure resort which wasn't too popular with Brits, due to it being Feb 1/2 term. Spent one year in hour long queues at Les Deux Alpes when we went the week after Christmas. It was soul destroying, not to mention bitterly cold - hence the choice this time.

Glad more chat on this, Dont, yes love living here, even in Winter is nice to be by the sea !!! Though not a good as snow !!

pesto baqueria is on my radar after friends went last half term and said it was fab. Quiet, good snow, challenging in places and big enough to be varied. Report back!

My other target is Are in Sweden, I don't fancy France in the school holidays as much as I used to.

Ooh! Nice to hear more good reports on Baqueira, will definitely report back once we've been too. It's been nearly 30 years since I last skiied in the Pyrenees, me & the late DH used to ski in Andorra because it was cheap & cheerful

Booked the tunnel crossing today. That'll make time go faster, right?

I'm going to get my own boots this year, I've decided. As we aren't going until Easter I hope to get a great deal in the sales!
