We've added little buttons next to each post which means you can easily post things up on Twitter and Facebook. Please don't feel you have to - we're just making it a bit easier for those who feel the urge.
Best,

just to clarify are individual posts being published to facebook/twitter or just threads?

as teh symbols are on each post it makes it look like the posts can be published iygwim. this isnt the case is it?

I have just tested sharing from a link in the middle of a thread......clicked from my FB link and it just took me to the top of the thread

runnybottom · 30/04/2010 10:26

I thought it was just mine as I'd changed my browser!
Nice.

addictedisinthesecondtrimester · 30/04/2010 10:26

ohh korma a button for cake and tea, that would be usefull?

justine do you think tech could get working on that!

thanks for clarifying tocca

MmeLindt · 30/04/2010 10:26

If you hover over the button, it says "Share this thread on FB"

I guess it is more convenient to have buttons on every post so you don't have to scroll up and down.

Stamps foot.

aSilverLining · 30/04/2010 10:52

put em at the end of the line please tech they are distracting me.

addictedisinthesecondtrimester · 30/04/2010 10:52

eccentra you dont have to use it, it doesnt automaticly post, if you dont want to then just ignore it

Monty100 · 30/04/2010 11:25

I'm not keen on this idea. I don't know why but I think there's a huge possibility that people could be 'outed'.

Makes mn feel very open and public as well with the Twitter and Facebook icons on each post.

ChippyMinton · 30/04/2010 11:38

not sure I understand why? If you want to know whats going on on MN, come HERE.

If you must, please do what others have suggested and shove them to the end of the line (and dilute the dark blue one to a lighter shade)

SoupDragon · 30/04/2010 12:00

"you dont want to then just ignore it "

It's impossible to ignore
