The Litter Tray

Dear Father Christmas

As the horse people have The Tack Room, can we have a "special" place for cat people?

Can you call it The Litter Tray?

I have mostly been good this year as you know, and I feel it would be both a reward for good behaviour, and encouragement for me to leave the horse people alone. Win win as they say.

Thank you so much.

Also, if anyone can tell me if it is safe for a cat's retinas to sit staring at a halogen heater from a distance of 2 inches I would be very grateful. Do I need to get some kitty sunglasses?

Anyone else intersted in a special cat bit? Or is it just me with my 19 cats and double barrelled shotgun?
Please add your messages of support.

Kissy mwah mwah

A "Litter Tray" would be really good idea and allow us to exchange tips in how to deal with our furry babies and less furry ones So I will add my voice to this request... please let us have a kitty corner

catinthehat2 · 11/12/2009 17:24

I love you Alyonor!

Anyone else want to feel the love?

Well, cats are pets, horses aren't pets........they're big creatures that you ride around on and use.

If there is a cat topic there will hve to be a dog topip (called Pooper scoop) and a reptile topic.

OK, so there is a chicken topic, but chckens's aren't really pets.

SueFley · 11/12/2009 17:31

yy
am with you

catinthehat2 · 11/12/2009 18:27

Lynette, you are so wrong, talk to the horse ladies. Horses are BAYBEES!
Come to the dark side...

Sue, lovin' you also!

Agree there should be Cats and Dogs topics. that way we can be tucked away from all the cat-haters and dog-haters

catinthehat2 · 11/12/2009 19:00

Diff, they will all make their way over anyway and we can convert them.

OP posts:
differentID · 11/12/2009 19:03

or we could just set the cats/ dogs on them?

jeep · 11/12/2009 19:06

Yes! then i can hide all the mad cat women

ahundredtimes · 11/12/2009 19:06

You can't have one if you are going to refer to them as hairy babies. Fact.

catinthehat2 · 11/12/2009 19:44

Jeep, come out of that closet....

OP posts:
catinthehat2 · 11/12/2009 19:46

I agree 100x, they should always be referred to respectfully.

Many people use the term "fur-persons". I prefer "you silly fool", or "pillock" on formal occasions.

Ha Ha, some of us horse people have cats as well (and chickens!) Mine (cats)are usually known as 'whyhaveyoudonethatyousillymuppet' when addressed correctly

ClaireDeLoon · 11/12/2009 20:14

Yes to a cat topic! Everyone knows cats are the best animals. Well cats do anyway.

FabIsVeryFestive · 11/12/2009 20:16

I would love a cat topic.

Crazycatlady · 11/12/2009 20:20

I think I've just found my spiritual home

jeep · 11/12/2009 20:28

I bet it would really smell after a while, though posters wouldn't notice it on themselves, like smokers .

catinthehat2 · 12/12/2009 08:51

Jeep is cat-curious, Jeep is cat-curious!

Does anyone know the halogen heater answer though, I am a bit worried

EccentricaGallumbits · 12/12/2009 09:11

i just googled and it doesn't appear so. notthat I nor google know anything.

I'd like to join you im the litter tray and discuss all things catty, bits of dead things, mice guts, hair on my black trousers etc etc.

catinthehat2 · 12/12/2009 09:22

And hairballs, don't forget the fresh hairballs.

OP posts:
TipsyFairydifferentID · 12/12/2009 10:02

nothing like a fresh hairball to step on at the bottom of the stairs.

Pacific · 12/12/2009 11:22

Cat in the hat. I support you in your campaign for a kitty thread. I have two kittys myself as well as two teenagers......hence the homework help. But how do cats fit in with pythagoras and the sum of the squares adding up to the hypotenuse ......? [puzzled]

catinthehat2 · 12/12/2009 12:03

Pacific....it was shameless lobbying!
