we feel have very offensive names?

I don't want my dcs looking over my shoulders and seeing certain nicknames and asking what they are.

Thank you please

That last was to stupid.

Hully - dunno. Just thought it was properly bland.

MP - he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

senua · 29/09/2009 11:32

Stop with the faux innocence and incredulity. You know full well that if someone says that they don't like xxx swear-word then the next few postings will feature it very heavily (and some new ones for good measure), just to annoy.

hullygully · 29/09/2009 11:32

dv thread?

MotherOfAChild · 29/09/2009 11:33

DV = Domestic Violence

daftpunk · 29/09/2009 11:33

domestic violence hullygully

alwayslookingforanswers;

your post made no sense at all...

hullygully · 29/09/2009 11:34

Okay, we'll have to guess: dirty vaginas? dangling vulvas? dancing viticulturalists?

morningpaper · 29/09/2009 11:34

where does "cuntwhacker" fall on the Spectrum Of Extremes?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 29/09/2009 11:34

Well that's 10 minutes of my life I won't get back. Fuck it to buggery.

hullygully · 29/09/2009 11:34

oh thanks.

StupidBitchWasAskingForIt · 29/09/2009 11:34

dv is domestic violence.

Why shouldn't I have that name and post where I want. After all, mn is about freedom of speech. If people who have been the victims of dv/sexual asalt don't like it then maybe mn isn't the thread for them ey?

MotherOfAChild · 29/09/2009 11:34

Who was that to senua? If me, then I'll take offence at "faux innocence and incredulity", because I was speaking for myself.

LuluSkipToMyLou · 29/09/2009 11:35

We're only human, senua, and some of us have childish urges. Again, MN is for everyone. I mean, there are plenty of threads I object to, and some people have very different opinions that I find offensive. Yet somehow I survive, and keep coming back.

Eyeballls · 29/09/2009 11:35

I actually think Blackduck sounds a bit rude...rhyming slang sort of thing...

hullygully · 29/09/2009 11:35

Yeah but swearing is rude, innit?

LOL KM. Very subtle

NotanOtter · 29/09/2009 11:38

I just think there is a time and place for swearing and coupled with a glass and a group of friends on a weekend i can be foul...

Not keen on HAVING to see it on here in names...

seems a weebit gratuitous and dare i say 'teenage'

MotherOfAChild · 29/09/2009 11:38

There's s lot pretty sloppy language usage on this thread so far. At least the swearing's been non-ambiguous.

morningpaper · 29/09/2009 11:38
hullygully · 29/09/2009 11:40

Do as you would be done by might be useful here. If you don't like cussing, don't cuss yourself.

Buda · 29/09/2009 11:41

I have to say I don't like the swearing in posters' names. I am not overly keen on lots of swearing in posts but don't like it in thread titles either. I do however understand that sometimes no other word will do. I swear myself. A lot. To DH's disgust.

But swear words in names just strikes me as juvenile, attention seeking and lacking in imagination.

it's all down to manners and knowing how to behave...anyone who has to have a swear word in their name is a bit sad imo..
