Mumsnet: the Pregnancy Guide

HelenMumsnet · 02/09/2009 17:25

We're tickled pink to announce the publication of our latest MN book, Mumsnet: the Pregnancy Guide.

Packed with the wit and wisdom of many a Mumsnetter, it covers every stage of the hormone-sodden path to parenthood with the kind of tell-it-like-it-is honesty you're all known for.

And it's illustrated by our very own, very talented Boco.

You can read all about it here, have a quick dekko at Justine's foreword here - and, of course, order it here.

Buy a copy! Tell your friends! And tell us what you think!

I'm enjoying my copy It arrived this morning just after I found out I was pregnant with DC2 - great timing!

nannynick · 12/09/2009 16:03

Are there any plans to have the books in other formats? For example - unabridged audiobook, abridged audiobook (could also be used for a radio series), Kindle and Kindle iPhone, SonyReader etc.
Would anyone be prepared to pay for the Mumsnet books in a non-print format, if so which format?

FaintlyMacabre · 15/09/2009 13:48

Well done Mumsnet. Your toddler guide came out just as DS started walking. And now your pregnancy guide has come out I am 6 weeks pregnant. Please bring the babies one out in 9 months time!

HelenMumsnet · 15/09/2009 16:18

Ah well, actually, FaintlyMacabre, the Babies book is coming out early next year!

Congrats on your pregnancy - and your great timing!

Congrats Twentieth!

Does that mean it is delivered with a free BFP?

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 18/09/2009 19:52

Thanks Moonlight

I suspect the book is responsible for the BFP as I wasn't expecting one. Very happy there was one though!

Loosemo · 30/09/2009 22:01

My copy arrived this morning (I'm 16 weeks pg with bump #3) and my DC have been neglected ever since. I can't put it down!

I consider myself to be fairly savvy about the whole pregnancy thing, having been there twice before, but this is full of all sorts of useful stuff. A cracking read, thanks.

HelenMumsnet · 30/09/2009 22:05

Thanks, Loosemo. Do feel free to review it on Amazon!

there is a quote with you talking about camping in the toddler book

FlameWithTooManyHormones · 12/10/2009 10:59

I'll try and remember to flick through for you later and see what you say.

I'm still annoyed btw.... 2 pages on cravings vs NINETEEN WORDS on antenatal depression.

WestYorkshireGirl · 16/10/2009 17:52

Hi. I am trying TTC and wondered how much the book had on conception? It feels a bit silly to buy a book when I am not actually pregnant - almost as if buying it will jinx it which is totally irrational I know! Can any of you ladies advise? Thanks

Leedsmumof1 · 08/01/2010 22:01

This is probably the wrong thread, but just wanted to say how much I LOVE the toddlers book. I got it for Christmas (at my request) and devoured it in a matter of days (in between, erm, coping with the toddler). It made me cry with laughter on several occasions. All my NCT friends are getting it for their birthdays, and I eagerly await the publication of the Babies book, as I'm sure it will be the perfect gift for new parents! Huge congratulations to all concerned. Oh, and I've done my bit and reviewed it on Amazon
