Why am I not getting round-up any more?

I've checked email preferences and nothing has changed from my side.

It's been since MP's holiday - what did she do?!

Mine did come on 14th & 21 Aug, but the one from last week hasn't turned up although it is on here.

???

Blackduck · 02/09/2009 09:59

I didn't get last weeks either....

midnightexpress · 02/09/2009 10:01

Me neither. I've changed my registered email address, but haven't had one to either address.

Ponders · 02/09/2009 10:03

It was the Bank Hol though. Maybe they never came back from the pub on Friday lunchtime...

Hello.

Sorry to hear your roundups never made it.

We're working on ways to make sure our emails get to you more reliably.

In the meantime, it would definitely help if you:

  1. Check your Spam folder. Even if MN stuff's never ended up in there before.
  1. Check your preferences in My Mumsnet. Click on Email options - and check you've selected to receive what you want to receive.
Then click on Your details - have you got a message in red, saying previous attempts to email you have failed? If you have, just click Save Changes. This will tell our system to try sending them to you again.
  1. See if you can tweak your Spam settings. If you use Aol, Hotmail or Yahoo, we have some suggestions for you here.
  1. Add the following addresses as contacts to your address book. (This might stop your provider marking our emails as Spam).

Please note that, where it says "yourid", you need to substitute your unique Mumsnet registration number - which you can find by going into My Mumsnet and clicking on registration details.

  1. Sign up for a Google Gmail account - it's free and they have a good track record of accepting Mumsnet's emails.
  1. Email us at [email protected] and have a good moan. We may not be able to wave a magic newsletter/roundup wand but we'll try!

Mine has stopped too

I have checked - no Junk & I am still set up on prfile for it.

HelenMumsnet · 23/09/2009 20:32

Oh dear, Milliways.

Do you have a red message on your Email options page?

No red messages

No emails....

Ponders · 23/09/2009 21:11

Utterly no-mates here too.

I just read it on here now.

HelenMumsnet · 23/09/2009 21:26

Oh no! We do still like you, honest (even MP).

Do you have a yahoo email account, by any chance?

Ponders · 23/09/2009 21:32

nope - hotmail & aol here. Neither gets the round-up any more.

Ponders · 23/09/2009 21:33

(incidentally Helen, while you're here, the unpurpling on Threads I'm On never got resolved either. What are they doing in that shed???)

HelenMumsnet · 23/09/2009 21:44

oh, that's a whole other thread!

But Shed-ites think they can get to the bottom of that one now...

Ponders · 23/09/2009 21:47

I started that one

whomovedmychocolate · 23/09/2009 21:50

I haven't got mine recently either. It came once after she came back from holiday and then nothing

Actually I've given up hoping and just read it online but since we are having a collective whinge I thought I'd get in on it

Milliways · 01/10/2009 20:31

Aha! I have now found the "RED MESSAGE". My email has not changed!

Removed message - will round-up reach me now????

CatherineMumsnet · 01/10/2009 23:05

Hi Milliways - it should do! Let us know if not.

YanknCock · 01/10/2009 23:10

Same for me, all of a sudden stopped getting them. Am signed up for all the emails, but have had nothing through lately. I have gmail, and checked my spam, but nothing there. No red message. Help?

GeraldineMumsnet · 02/10/2009 17:36

YanknCock, I just had a look our end and your settings say your email address is bad and emails are blocked (ie one must have bounced back at some point).

Like Helen says here

  1. Check your preferences in My Mumsnet. Click on Email options - and check you've selected to receive what you want to receive.
Then click on Your details - have you got a message in red, saying previous attempts to email you have failed? If you have, just click Save Changes. This will tell our system to try sending them to you again.

Hope it works. You can read talk roundup here
