Hey! My Mumsnet is giving me the option to delete messages and ban people

Has Tech buggered up my membership and inadvertently dropped me into a MNHQ admin group, or did I go on holiday and things have changed around here?

it's the new regime

SpawnChorus · 10/08/2009 21:22

OMG LOLOL

Abuse your power (but not on me)

poorbuthappy · 10/08/2009 21:22

Its because you buggered off and we haven't had a round up for ages...they are going to tease you and then cut you out of the loop just as you are getting used to your new found power...

shit...don't ban me!

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:23

right I will see if I can delete this

OP posts:
StinkyFart · 10/08/2009 21:23

ooooh

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:23

Hmm I pressed the delete button but my screen filled with code

I expect that Tech will appear in my room dressed in a cape in a puff of smoke ANY MINUTE

OP posts:
morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:24

I better not ban myself, what would I do all day?

OP posts:
StinkyFart · 10/08/2009 21:25

heh steady with that delete finger MP

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:26

Actually I'm too scared to press anything in case I delete the Mumsnet server or something

OP posts:
morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:27

I thought I'd gone away and you'd all agreed to that "Ban this user" thingy so you could ban people and delete posts that you found offensive

I'm glad that's NOT the case

OP posts:
SpawnChorus · 10/08/2009 21:27

You've got to ban ALL of MNHQ (starting with Tech) and become an eccentric despot.

Do it.

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:29

I tried to delete my own message and then got an auto-reply from MNHQ saying that they'd received my message

they are onto me

any minute now my credit cards will all stop working and I will have to claim assylum at Netmums

Poledra · 10/08/2009 21:29

"I expect that Tech will appear in my room dressed in a cape in a puff of smoke ANY MINUTE"

Sounding a bit hopeful there, MP.....

PortAndLemon · 10/08/2009 21:31

Are you expecting him to be wearing anything else apart from the cape?

onepieceoflollipop · 10/08/2009 21:32

No response from HQ on this yet?

Bet they're all in a meeting panicking like mad that's they've messed the site up. They are probably scoffing custard creams and washing them down with pinot grigio as we type.

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:33

I expect Tech is deciding which of his Capes to wear

Perhaps I should scrub up

OP posts:
DottyDot · 10/08/2009 21:37

Do you think you have The Power to delete entire topics..?!

morningpaper · 10/08/2009 21:39

Shall I just get rid of AIBU?

OP posts:
giraffesCanRunA10k · 10/08/2009 21:40

ooooh

gigglewitch · 10/08/2009 21:41

who are you gonna ban, then? Is is revenge because you have missed two whole weeks of the Talk Roundup

MollieO · 10/08/2009 21:42

You can't get rid of AIBU - we'd lose the 'we hate Lazytown' thread - I am a staunch defender of the lush Sportacus.

BitOfFun · 10/08/2009 21:44

Can we send requests if we're nice to you?

OliviaMumsnet · 10/08/2009 21:47

Oi MP we are indeed on to you.
Evil cackle

DottyDot · 10/08/2009 21:47

I think that would be perfectly reasonable.

ooh - and can you change all the prices of stuff in the selling things topic?!

Ahem.

DottyDot · 10/08/2009 21:48

ooooh - WAIT!! Even better - can you fix the winners of the competitions...?!
