I've just read my roundup.
I'm not on here as much at the moment as real-life if seriously getting in the way of my mumsnetting.
But I've just had a good old chuckle at the round up and wanted to say how bloody funny you all are.

Big pat on the back to StealthPolarBear for the surreal bubble comment. Loving it.

(Dragonbutter/Nevergoogledragonbutter here. Just pissing about with my name for MrsMH's sake.)

Ohhhh...you got a sticky

nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/07/2009 20:50

Did I???? Is MP working at HQ tonight? How naughty.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/07/2009 20:51

Oooh, I've never had one of those before.

That's better than making it into the round up!

hunkermunker · 17/07/2009 21:01

I must surely have one of the best post to being in the round-up ratios of any MNer

Was a v funny one this week, MP - nice one.

MilleniumHandNShrimp · 17/07/2009 21:17

Good to see you (NormaStanlyFletch here)

i HEART MP

Have been laughing at the Bounty invasion thread tonight.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/07/2009 21:17

Was the sticky out of sympathy HQ? Did you think this slow thread might need a bit of helping hand along it's way?

It's not exactly taking off is it?

nevergoogledragonbutter · 17/07/2009 21:18

Oh see, now i'm getting called a suck-up!

The shame.

JustineMumsnet · 17/07/2009 21:21

We thought it nice for MP to see the words hilarious and round up juxtaposed, after all she toils away each week trawling through MN when she'd far rather be watching Doodle Do I'm sure.

(ps if anyone would like to start a thread with the words JustineMumsnet and fabulous in the title I reckon we could sticky it for a bit no problem unless of course it said GerryMumsnet is fabulous but that JustineMumsnet is a right old cow... that wouldn't work).

RubyBlueberry · 17/07/2009 21:24

How do you know it's sticky?

stillstanding · 17/07/2009 21:25

I love the round up normally but this week's one was absolutely genius. I actually forwarded it to a dozen people. I pmsl at each of the stories especially the bounty one. Hilarious!

MrsLH, well done you for your thread. And a huge thank you to MP for all her work - highlight of my week.

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/07/2009 21:29

It was indeed genius...

Doobydoo · 17/07/2009 21:39

Never read it before today.Absolutely hilarious...will read again.Well Done

skinupyacunt · 17/07/2009 21:49

I think it should become a weekly thing. Starting a ruck with another forum. It could replace the obligatory friday night bumsex thread

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 21:50

Ooh I like the way THIS is stickied

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 21:52

I had to add the Bounty bit because you got funny after I'd finished my first draft of roundup

But the bounty thread made me roffle first thing this morning and absolutely HAD to be included

I WOULD far rather be watching Doodle Do. Can I have Chris Corcoran's email address? home phone number? I'll only stalk him a BIT?

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 17/07/2009 21:52

I used to hurry home from work on a Friday, knowing that my round-up would be waiting for me in my inbox.

Then, one day, it just stopped coming. No warning - or perhaps I just didn't pick up on the signs that it was over?

I begged, I pleaded, I changed my email address. I flounced de-registered and then came back via a plethora of different names. Still, no round-up.

Was it me, MP? Did I not pay you enough attention? You always said I was too busy, that I didn't treat you right. But I never thought you'd actually...go.

Now I have to read the round-up via the link on the right hand side of the page. It feels so, so... soulless. As though I'm peering in through a window at a party I'm not invited to.

This week she mentioned me. This week was a good week. Next week, I'm not so sure. We'll have to see.

moondog · 17/07/2009 21:54

It is indeed very funny.
I've never read it before.Shall do forthwith.
at foul mouthed dyslexic Bounty chavs.

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 21:56

you've never read it?

Moondog, after all these years that I have stood in front of supermarket shelves having the Moondog food Mantra of "Have someone fucked with it?" goig through my head, and you have not so much as read the blimmin' Roundup????

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 17/07/2009 21:56

Why, MP? Why did your round-up stop coming directly to me? Was it the way I used to read the Onion Daily dispatch before the round-up? Did I not prioritise our time together?

Please. I have to know. I have to have closure so I can move on with my life.

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 21:57

Did you tick the box in your registration options?

Otherwise you will have to ask Tech. He will check the satellite link to your desk stuff

moondog · 17/07/2009 21:59

B-b-b but miss. I promise to forthwith.
(As long as noone else has fucked with it, natch.)

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 22:01

Well sometimes Justine fucks with it a bit

Also Gerry - she knows where commas go and stuff like that

But APART from that it is straight from the cow
bran · 17/07/2009 22:02

DS wanted me to explain why I was laughing so hard. I told him it was a joke about spelling, I'm pretty sure that spelling is never funny for a 5 yr old, he made this face.

I haven't been in the round up for ages, I remember the rush when I was. I imagine it's the same sort of rush that Take That feel when they walk out in front a screaming crowd at Wembly.

morningpaper · 17/07/2009 22:04

Yes bran it is almost the same, but a bit better
