oops - didn't read the thread title properly. I'm not keen on a total ban on swearing on mumsnet as sometimes only bleeps will do. OTOH there is more profanity than I am confortable with too. So I love the alternatives

I don't see that there's really any need? There's loads of other words in the english language..
