to find out why some of you mnetters have been busy reading for a long time but don't post?
What are your reasons?

I'm sorry ks, did you just say you are going to tussle with your groin? Maybe sharing a bit too much there

I think it should be "the home lives of us, the regular posters" but that is a slightly different construction.

I'd always say "we regular posters" though - no idea why.

That comma is all-important. But I also don't know why.
WE (regular posters) go to the pub.
Fancy asking US (regular posters) not to go to the pub.
Am I making any sense here?

Report
JanH · 22/04/2005 15:16

No, that's different, Marina - the We are doing the going, the Us are being asked, IYSWIM.

I don't post as much now as I used to. There are so many people posting that it all goes to fast for an old fogey like me!

Trying, Pamina!

I don't post a lot because:
Lack of time - only get opportunity on the three days I work
Find my thoughts/opinion often already been said by another poster
Occasionally have posted what I though was reply worth a mention and get no acknowledgement that I am there. I often then perversly make another comment to get the same reaction!
I do post when I have a genuine query and always get fantastic replys - thank-you all

But - the result of being a lurker, not a poster is that you feel you "know" all the regulars and they havn't got a clue who you are!! - whoich then makes it harder to post....
