Yes, around 9 is the busiest time in terms of number of users. And Monday is the busiest day of the week. That's why it's slowest around this time. We're aware of the problem and we've got some extra computing power on order to help sort it out. Please no breath holding, but it shouldn't be too long coming...

I have been getting timeouts, particularly when trying to access Threads I'm On - even at 8am this morning. But it is definitely worse in IE7 than in Firefox - I'm not sure if that's just coincidence though. This morning I couldn't access Mumsnet full stop using IE7.
