Weird text display glitch

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · Yesterday 09:00

I wrote a post. Used my phone's autocorrect on a word (may not be relevant because I used it in several other places that are unaffected).

The post looked correct before I posted it, and as it first flashed up on the screen when posted. But a fraction of a second later 2 words were mashed together.

Thought I was seeing things. Clicked edit and it was correct in the edit box. Retyped those 2 words anyway just in case. Reposted and again had a fraction of a second of it displaying correctly, then a flip to the mashed version.

Post is this one. The post immediately after it explains the problem.

I'm using the mobile web version, not the app. Samsung browser.

Any idea what's going on?

Hi @BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn,

Thanks for flagging this. It's very odd! I've taken a look and can see that the post appears as you intended it to in our system, so we're not sure why it's displaying differently on the site.

I'm going to share this with my team so they can take a look, as it seems there may be a bug affecting how the text is displaying. We'll let you know when we have an update.

In the meantime, please let us know if it happens again, and thanks for your patience!

Thanks @AmeliaPMumsnet. I do have a knack for uncovering peculiar technical bugs. I'll let you know if it happens again.
