When I open the MN app it always takes me to the same message on a thread

Same here. Also, I used to be able to access by email and follow just OP's comments - now it goes straight to the App and I have to scroll through all the comments and stop when I see the blue OP's tag. Entshitification, I believe it is called.

Hi @MaroonedinWales You can still filter by just the OP posts in the app - that hasn't changed. There's a filter icon in the top right of the app where you can just look at posts by the OP and then click through to the post if you want to read around it. If you have the app downloaded then the default is that you will go there if you click a link from an email. If you prefer to use the website 'see next by OP' feature it doesn't exist in the app so it's better to delete the app and then links will default to the website.

@Thebinisrightthere Could you tell us which version of the app you're on? It might be that it needs updating. If you're definitely using the latest version, could you tell us a bit more about what you're clicking when you're not following a link, what you expect to see happening and what's actually happening? If you can post a screenshot here, that would really help too. We'll try and recreate the problem then to see if we can work out what's going wrong.

As an fyi, I have the app installed on my phone - but if I click a link from one of your snails it always takes me to the web version, not into the app (which I’m happy about). So it isn’t the default that it takes you to the app at all!

Have you inadverenty bookmarked a particular post? That has caught me out in the past.
