Out of nowhere just get a. Amazon page taken over, which I have to close.
There's no ad or link I'm accidentally clicking in sight.
Anyone else. Just the last couple of days.

It is so annoying

socks1107 · 08/05/2026 08:50

Yes and me, very annoying!

Arcticsway · 08/05/2026 08:51

Same here, iPhone.

rhabarbarmarmelade · 08/05/2026 09:06

Me too. Thought it was just me!

Tcateh · 08/05/2026 09:15

Ah ok I'm not alone then, it is very weird isn't it?

It's really horrible isn't it, I've just tried reading some threads but I think after I've posted this I'll just give up for the day, the constant opening and closing of the Amazon page for no reason is making it too hard to read.

Katisha · 08/05/2026 10:11

Same here on iPhone

JoMumsnet · 08/05/2026 11:34

Hi all,

We're sorry this issue has been affecting so many of you.

Just letting you know that we released a new version of the iOS app this morning that means these ads should only open if you deliberately click on them.

The app should update automatically, but if you're still experiencing problems please go to the App store and click on the Update button.

We're currently testing the new build on Android and aim to get that released as soon as possible.

Thanks for bearing with us!

thornbury · 08/05/2026 11:42

Yes me too - I must accidentally open Amazon 5-6 times a thread!

Tcateh · 08/05/2026 12:10

I haven't clicked on any ads, what I mean is there have been no ads seen, to actually accidentally click on at all!

@Tcateh we'll let you know as soon as we release this fix on the Android version - hopefully that will sort things out for you (even if you're not seeing the ads).

Tcateh · 08/05/2026 13:14

Ok thanks for letting me know

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/05/2026 13:52

I get this (iPhone App), I thought it was because I keep catch the Amazon ads between posts.

Tcateh · 08/05/2026 15:39

Getting Expedia now 🤔

Tcateh · 08/05/2026 15:40

I tried to post saying I was getting Ex pedia now

youalright · 08/05/2026 15:42

Same

PlattyCat · 09/05/2026 09:47

This is happening to me as well. I'm using the app on the Sony Phone. I can't scroll passed the Amazon add without it thinking I've clicked it.

socks1107 · 09/05/2026 10:08

Still happening this morning unfortunately

PlattyCat · 09/05/2026 11:48

It is really bad. It might cure my Mumsnet addiction since it's so frustrating to use 😂

Katisha · 09/05/2026 13:50

Still here in iPhone as well

BeckyAMumsnet · 09/05/2026 14:33

Hello everyone. Can you please check the App store for an update? Thank you.

Katisha · 09/05/2026 14:46

just updated and if anything it’s worse

hellospring26 · 09/05/2026 17:20

It’s infuriating. I have updated.

Secretsquirrelshh · 09/05/2026 17:27

I’ve also updated and it’s just as bad. The lightest scroll opens up Amazon in a separate app (iPhone).
