Android app, can't go back and edit text you've already written while posting replies

As I write this as an OP, if I make a typo and want to go back I just tounch my finger on the word I want to change.

But if I try and do that while replying to an existing thread, nothing happens. I can't change the curser position. I know you very recently did an android app update, did it break something?

I am writing a reply now and want to go back and change the word "writing", but when I try and tap the second word in this sentence to move the curser nothing happens...

But funnily enough if I go back and edit a post, it works correctly! It's just replying initially that is the problem. See image.

Hello @ThreshingCorn can we check if this is still happening? We released a fix for the app. Please check for updates in your app store.

Im having issues editing the post im typing too. Cursor wont move.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it's still a problem. It's not a huge problem, but it didn't happen before the app update on the 12th March, so I think that update caused this other very small bug.

I've realised as a workaround, if I hold down the space bar and slide along it, I can move the curser back to edit previous words in the sentence. Not quite as easy as just pressing where I want to edit - but better than nothing.

I can't see an update available on Google play for mumsnet. This is really frustrating problem

I've stopped posting on some threads as I couldn't be bothered to retype a long message to correct a spelling or grammar mistake.
