Ad that says still breastfeeding at 11 months

It's offensive to have this banner flash up implying 11 months is unusual. In an ideal world we would all aim for 11 months plus. I wouldn't want those doing more or less to be offended

I breast fed past two years and wouldn’t have found the ad offensive.

You don't think it signals that 11 months is old for a child to be bf? I feel it does and is out of kilter with hiw we approach things now

I bf for well over a year, but I think it is unusual for most 11 month olds to still be feeding. I don’t find it offensive

Hi there @Denim4ever . We don't recall this ad (if you want to grab a screenshot and post it here we'll happily take a look) but from what you've said we don't think there was any negative suggestion about breastfeeding at 11 months here.

Statistics do show that it's not what happens in the main, and the UK still has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world, we believe, so perhaps the feeling behind it was that breastfeeding at this stage is not common, and something to be celebrated?

If it came across in any way as offensive, though, we'll certainly pass that on as feedback.
