Seems trivial I know, but it's a bugbear of mine...
For example, there's a thread currently running that started today, where a poster has felt the need to tell the whole of Mumsnet/the internet that her son has done a poo so massive that it's blocked the toilet. I mean, really?! 
Whether it's true or not, I neither know nor care, but it made me feel queasy when I saw it, so I hid the thread. But it continued to stay on trending for much of the day... 'Large poo stuck in waste pipe!' was flashing up in trending since it was started at 13.45pm to about 7pm tonight.
I have no idea why people feel the need to start threads about such things, but I don't wish to see it, so I hide the thread, but it stayed in trending even when you have hidden it. Even the thread title is gross.
Can anything be done about this? Is it possible to stop threads you have hidden appearing in 'Trending?'
