Separate thread for 'word games' etc - currently in Chat?

'Chat' always has a lot of 'word games' threads in it - currently the first two pages (50 posts) contain 17 separate threads none of which are really 'chat'.

There's no conversation on these threads and I'm wondering if the 'Wordle', Hardle', 'Xordle' etc threads would be better under a separate Topic - maybe Daily Puzzles?

Would also make them easier for regular posters to find.

I think some people use the Gaming topic. The note on its says it’s for discussing games and gaming but the title implies just the latter.
didnt there used to be a board called something like ‘fun and games’?

Good idea! There is chat in them too, people are very supportive in life and in puzzles! But it would make it easier to find, especially when threads fill up and a new one is created.

I don’t read them but I do read chat threads and yeah I think it would be good for them to have their own space - there are a lot of them in chat, sometimes it’s feels like there are more of them that actual chat threads!

Bumping this thread. Out of the first 50 posts in Chat today, 19 of them were devoted to 'Puzzles'

Don't get me wrong, I like puzzles, but they are not very Chatty ;)

I think it's a good idea too, I post on the WAG threads occasionally but keep forget to keep a eye on them when they get full so I can't find the new ones .

There's plenty of banter and chat on the WAG threads.

I do a couple of WAG but I do say in the title it is a word association game.People can avoid it easily from the title. Sometimes there is chat.

Every other ‘interest’ has its own section, so one for games etc would be logical. Most long running threads have chat eg ‘giving birth in a specific month’, ‘specific year at university’, health ones, but they still sit in their area. Plus I agree people might miss new or different word games. Easier for everyone surely?

There are 2 long running word association threads -def lots of chat on them too but would they be welcome under this new thread?

No idea. I always put a link in to a new thread before the WAG is at 1000.

I think it’s a good idea. Bit bored of scrolling through Chat and so many of them are “puzzle” posts.
