Text box keeping text even after posting

I have posted a few times where the text I've written has posted but the message box hasn't cleared. This means I have to delete the post out of the message box if I want to add a new post

I'm on android on the mobile site using s Samsung phone

I have had this a couple of times too. Also using mobile website and Samsung phone.

It's happened on another thread just now. If I post this and go back to the thread the text is still in the box even after posting.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy A53 but it's happening on my tablet as well, bog standard Amazon fire one. Fire HD 8 12th generation

Any update @HebeMumsnet this had been so so so annoying over the last couple of days.

I also just came to post this and discovered my post from the above post sat in the message box and it wasn't even the last post i'd made on this thread.

Thanks for the extra information and screenshots. We're still working on resolving this issue and will be back with an update as soon as we can.

We're sorry in the meantime for all the frustration this is causing.

On the plus side it's helpful when I can't remember what I said five minutes ago!

I'm having the same issue too. I really love the new functionality that saves the text - I used to lose so many half-written posts due to an accidental misclick, but it suddenly stopped clearing the box once I'd posted at some point in the last week.

I am.usung Chrome browser on a samsung android phone. Screenshots of relevant version numbers attached.

So I noticed something today, but it happens so quick there's no chance of a screenshot. Only on tablet, not been using phone.

When I've been refreshing a thread, so pressing the little 1 new post button that appears at the bottom of the posts, as it refreshes even if my text box had cleared previously it's showing text in the text box but it's disappeared once the refresh finishes.

I assume it has some connection with what's happening with the text not disappearing.

Which is also still driving me la la.

Afternoon, everyone. We've made some changes over the last couple of days that we hope will have helped with this issue. Can anyone who's experienced this let us know whether things have improved please?

Still been doing it on and off today on my tablet, although the weird thing from yesterday has stopped.

Haven't tried my phone yet.

I've noticed this too. Samsung tablet, no idea of the browser. Whatever the tablet picks for me. I'll post this and see if it's still here when I come back.
