Is MN unusable for anyone else or is it just me?

I’ve had to go to incognito mode to get it to bloody work. Threads are taking forever to load and the site just doesn’t seem to work.

I often have issues and have to clear the browsing cache. I would guess it's something related to the advertising service MN use.

Same for me OP. It’s painful to use, and incognito only. Or via gmail if I have been tagged. Iphone 14.

That's interesting. I've noticed that when it freezers, it's always when I reach an advert.

I’m having the same issues using a chrome browser on my iphone too (haven’t got the MN app). Been happening for a week or two now.
Pages taking forever to load or only partially loading and freezing completely Phone also gets really, really hot.
So frustrating!

@HebeMumsnet I’m having the same issue on my iPad. Mumsnet is fine on my iPhone but super slow on my iPad. Takes forever to load! It’s very frustrating.

I have a good internet connection, yet I have to try and refresh or click on a thread about 10 times to get them to load sometimes. Have tried on both Firefox and Edge and it's the same. This shouldn't be happening with such a large website, and they need to have stern word with whoever is managing that aspect of their business.

To help us investigate, could you tell us what browser and device you’re using, whether you’re on Wi-Fi or mobile data, and if you have a VPN or any browser extensions? It would also help to know which threads are affected, what usually triggers the problem, whether you see any errors or just a spinning cursor, and if you’ve tried a different device or network to see if it happens there too.

I usually use Firefox on a PC Windows desktop. Same issues on Edge too, and I think I might have tried Chrome a while ago. No VPNs, good line connection (not wi-fi), no extensions.

I'm usually on Relationship and Women's Right forums, but I think this is effecting every forum right now. No errors.

I enter the forum itself with too much hassle, but it's clicking the individual threads and posting that is the issue. I click, and then there a blank screen (where it's clear I'm still on the Mumsnet website but it's not loading the webpage content). If I refresh over & over again, it will eventually load, but I usually have to do that 10 times in order to get it to do that and it's just hard work!!

Then when I finally access the individual thread, it's the same problem when I try to navigate further pages into that thread. When I try to post, it goes on cursor and doesn't refresh the page, but sometimes, when I've gone back into the thread to check, it has posted for some reason, but not other times!

It was never like this before this summer. Never encountered anything like this, and definitely not this longstanding, on any other website.

Yes! Pages not loading, bookmarks not working, threads jumping back to the top. It’s rubbish !

I’m having this problem now. Had to come into private browsing just to be able to click into the box to reply.

Safari, most up to date version. We have a mobile 5G data hub and the first thing to stop working tonight was the formatting buttons. Tapping them just highlighted the advert above them. Next, I stopped being able to click into threads from my notifications page.

No not really. It’s stopped loading, gone black, and told me it had an unrecoverable error, or some message like that, three times tonight.

The site is unusable on my Chrome… constantly freezes. I suspect it’s something to do with adverts trying to load.

Shite for me too - taking ages to load, pages hanging, half loading, page freezing so none of the links work, constant refreshes.

The re-loading is driving me mad. When it finished re-loading, I then have to scroll down to find where I had read up to. The adverts are also a real problem. There’s constantly a video playing in the too right hand corner. It takes up a lot of space and is really distracting. There also seem to be more and more adverts interspersed between posts.
