What is the point in the 4 emoji reactions when they're basically all the same?

A clap, a thumbs up, a heart. Those 3 are all exactly the same, a positive affirmation.

Then there's the laugh that's either used genuinely or sarcastically.

Why not have a thumbs up (I agree/well said) a thumbs down (dont agree) a sad face for sad situations, a laughing face and a jammy dodger?

As other posters have said, yes, we felt it was better to keep everything positive. We always encourage civil and constructive disagreement within conversations on the boards, but we were concerned that the 'positive discussion' element might be lost if people can just stick a 'dislike' emoji on posts. Whereas often people just want to show their thanks or approval and probably don't need to say much more than that.

We will pass your thoughts on though and will continue reading the thread to see what others think, too.
