When will the app work like mobile /desktop ?

For ages you said for us to use the app to all swap over - rather then desktop /mobile

so I swapped to the app - got used to it - took quite a few months

But

Still SO MANY things we can't do the app that you can elsewhere 🥲🥲🥲

You keep promising the app will be updated and we will get the same on both

Yes the app is quicker and I find mobile now a hassle so rarely use it and tbh only time is when I get a private message as only way can read them / as it is a lot slower

So lovely @mnhq when will we be able to do these things on the app

I understand the purpose of the post is to get a response and some action from MNHQ, but if the app isn't meeting your needs why not delete it and use the mobile version?

and flip a thread as you have to keep scrolling to get to the bottom of a thread on the app

A few of us are beta testing the newest version of the app. It has a few issues of its own but it's got a lot more features than the original app. Including post editing and trending threads.

I can flip a thread on the app - it's a little button with two arrows in the top right.

does it make it so you can scroll to the bottom of a thread quickly ?

You click the symbol I'm showing in the screenshot and it flips the thread

I know it's minor point but please can we have a new colour scheme on the app. Fed up with three shades of purple, blue and... some'ink else.

How do you sign up to that?

And the other site slow esp on long /600+ posts and reload /struggle etx

And im on several long threads that get to 1000 and start again so don't want slow/unable to load

I can quote/reply to one post but if someone quotes me and replies to that I can't reply - which is annoying

Is there a quick way of getting into a topic from a thread in the app? On the pages you can click on the topic name and you can't on the app.

Id really like the "see next" option below the OP's posts on the app, saves so much scrolling and if there's hundreds of posts but the OP hasn't been back it's good to know from the beginning

This is on apple but not android. That's the other thing. I have apple and android (different for tablet and phone) and there are differences between the two.

You can quote someone who has quoted on android but not apple. You can't see all the OP posts using android but can on apple. It really varies what functions you get from one to the other with the app depending on which device you are using.

On the android app? I see no funnel shape. I'd love to be able to view all of an OPs posts as I currently just scroll and hope I spot the different colour.

Good post, OP. I hope MN answer you, and wish an actual plan not platitudes!

If they're testing a nee version of the app surely they wouldn't have produced it without all of the features you mention because it's not a huge technical challenge to write software that does this... so I hope you'll get a positive response about rollout dates!

There are a lot more features on the iPhone app than the android version. I was surprised when I switched phones.
