Security alert message

Has anybody else had this randomly come up on their computer when reading a thread? It's happened twice in the last hour. One minute I'm reading a thread and the next minute I get this come up and I can't even use the back button to get back to the thread.

Interesting This happened to me last month when i was on here.

Yes I have had 2 in the last half hour, but different to the one above (didn't get a screenshot) with a tick if you are not a robot message

Morning, everyone. We're looking into this right now. Could we ask for the following info if you're seeing these pop-ups, and that might help us get to the bottom of it...

• What page were you on when it appeared?
• Did you see an ad or click on one? If so can you share the click-through URL, or give a description of the ad?

I've had this today, there was a purple error warning at the bottom of the page, and then a giant ad for a really inappropriate site appeared. I have then also had the security warning. Both times I was just browsing normally, going from I'm On to a specific thread or vice versa. I'm using Chrome on a laptop, didn't click on any adverts, it happens just as I'm going to another page on the site.

I had that twice yesterday on the Chris Kaba thread, it said my Macafee subscription needed renewed (I don't use Macafee).

I also had a pop-up this morning with "Are you over 18", I didn't click but it quickly switched to barely-blurred video of obvious porn. I can't remember what thread that was, it might have been the Op that found her husband wrapped around his female "friend".

Laptop for both.

@Mochudubh that sounds like the page that popped up for me with the "are you over 18" message.

Yes I had this last week followed by a pop up saying “scanning your pc for viruses “ (I was on my phone )

This is what I keep getting - laptop on edge. The thread was how expensive the UK is. I didn't click on an ad. Sorry didn't get the URL.

PC on Edge yesterday, the same popup as in the original post. I closed down the page. Didn't click on anything before, was just reading a thread (can't remember which).

I was reading the husband cheated while drunk thread and get getting these security pop ups. Chrome on a laptop

Yes, I've had this one twice today. Laptop, using Microsoft Edge. Reluctant to post the URL as it looked so dodgy! I had this same one a couple of weeks ago and reported it then.

This is the third time in 2 days I've got this one...

Just had this one. I copied the url and then clicked x to close the page.
