Hi @FlissMumsnet I have reported a couple of examples from today. I have seen more. Not noticed any trends and it seems to have been getting worse over the past couple of months.

I agree. I've had at least three TIO resurrected over the last few days with zombies. Here are the last three:

Same here. I don’t know if it’s the threads like this stuff at the bottom but it’s definitely getting worse.

I think a key issue here is that you no longer show the dates that a thread was created and last posted on. The argument for removing these dates was to align the desktop site with the app, I believe - which I did think at the time didn't make sense! - and I'm sure this is one reason why these zombie threads keep being posted on. People see them pop up in active when someone else has resurrected it, and go to post their words of wisdom on it.

Yes this has been bad since yesterday, I thought I was just really unlucky with the amount I've seen. Most of the people resurrecting the ones I saw didn't have anything useful or helpful to add but seemed to think people from months or years ago needed to hear the resurrector's voice on the thread anyway.

Also seen a couple of the classic move: resurrect old thread and hijack it with a different post. 🙄

what about an auto lock on certain threads after x number of days ?

I think it is since we got the Similar Threads list under a thread. Some of those are really old but people don't notice and just see an interesting title.
