Mumsnet app making iPhones run hot

@mumsnet. Load of people are reporting the Mumsnet app is making iPhones run dangerously hot and draining the battery

As I type I'm barely able to hold my phone. Noticed it started past couple of weeks. Can you sort this please. The app is now unusable after 5mins.

Why do you use the app in the first place?

not about getting “dangerously hot”!

People do mention the phones getting hot on that thread and I was someone who posted on that thread under an older username. What made me think of was that, while the battery draining was the immediately issue, it corresponded with my phone getting outrageously hot as well.

It's stopped for me for now, but it does seem to be something that comes and goes. I had it again about a week and a bit ago.

It's about five posts down so not hard to find either!

Because it's generally much quicker and easier to navigate than the mobile website.

Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Analytics & Improvements -> Analytics Data and see if Mumsnet is listed in there please?

It's listed in mine several times. 7 or 8? All from the past week or so. Pages and pages of nonsense text
