Ah, that's a thought! Let's see how this thread goes (tell yer pals) and we'll certainly consider it. As ever, if there's a need for it, we can make it happen.
May we offer our condolences on the passing of your greatest megastar. Flowers (gladioli)

It would be great if NZ could be allowed a tiny subsection off to the side?

This is a U.K and Ireland based forum. Why the need for an Australian/New Zealander section? Aren't there Australian sites for that? Are we going to have one for every nationality now? I wouldn't dream of asking for a British section on a Canadian message board.

BridgetsBigPants · 25/04/2023 14:31

Yes I would love an Aussie section. To answer @CheckingOutandIn there aren't a whole lot of Australian options really. None as well utilised and open as Mumsnet anyway.

Is it? News to me.

@HopeMumsnet could you clarify please?

tobee · 25/04/2023 15:18

It is, after all, Anzac Day

fairycakes1234 · 25/04/2023 15:20

But why cant you just post as normal regardless where you are from, everyone has same problems, dilemmas. I am from Ireland, not as many Irish on this site but I still post and reply to the normal every day life problems and situations.... Why do you want one just on Australia??

WagyuBeef · 25/04/2023 15:21

Lots of people from the UK move to Australia or are interested in moving so it makes sense to me.

Did it occur to you there might also be Aussies living in the UK? Or Brits in Oz?
What really, does it matter to you? There are plenty of topics I'm sure aren't relevant to you already you can hide if you want.

You are aware that Mumsnet goes worldwide on the world wide web, right? It’s not geoblocked outside of the UK and Ireland.

We used to have a large and busy Australian forum. Unfortunately the powers that be that funded it pulled the funding and shut it down after about 20 years of existence.

I hate to be "that person" but this is what based means; so I don't see why that excludes Aus/NZ board:-

Australian section please?
